Then I think cops should get maximum sentences by default is because they have broken a sacred trust society has put in them
Yes you have already said that. I can see the Ad now, come join the police department, make a sacred trust with the US people worth far more that a living wage and you will have the love and support of the American people unless a bunch of crooks protest in which case you will be offered up as scape goats.

Well people are going to protest when a cop kills someone for no reason.
Judges should also start holding them and contempt when they bring people into court on some goofy charges
And cops are never prosecuted when they get caught lying on the witness stand

Yep, I remember when they shot Jacob Blake 7 times in the back. No need to wait for the trial, see the video and they were obviously guilty, so let's riot and burn the city down. Of course later when they did have the trial the facts were very different. Jacob Blake had a knife, had previously stabbed officers, had been tased and resisted arrest, they had a warrant for his arrest, he had a previous felony charge for sexual assault, trespassing, disorderly conduct and domestic abuse. He had three kids in the back of the car that he might have driven off with which would have been kidnapping. But no need to find out what the background and facts are, the NBA called for riots and so they cancelled the game and burned the city down.

I completely agree that some police shootings are justified. Like Mike Brown was self defense
But remember Sandra bland? Pulled out of her car Jim Crow style because she wouldn't put out a cigarette? Or that family from Phoenix that was held at gunpoint because their daughter shoplifted a doll?
So my question is why are our police officers going all Mogadishu on American citizens over minor infractions?
They should be trying to deescalate the situation.
Same reason the fire department doesn't bring gasoline to put out a fire

I agree, that is the question and until we go executing people I'd like to get some answers. I highly doubt you have a team of 8 thugs acting as police officers if there isn't someone higher up behind it all.

So my question is why are our police officers going all Mogadishu on American citizens over minor infractions?
There could be many reasons but who's interested in digging into this mess and cleaning it up?

1. Police officers are angry about the "Defund the Police" Movement and taking it out on people. This insanity was allowed a voice instead of being permanently shut down.
2. Violent and repeat criminals are being released on a whim, re-arrested, and released again.
3. Lawlessness at all levels has become the norm. Gangsters and terrorists are now free to enter the country unhindered. And even those who are arrested are immediately released.
4. Police are not being trained properly to handle various situations without resorting to violence and abuse. Also guns could have been replaced with tranquilizer darts but no one has bothered to take this seriously.
5. Thugs are being hired for police work since law-abiding citizens do not want to be in a job which is ultimately meaningless and demeaning.
6. The judicial system is now on the side of criminals rather than victims, so is there any point in policing any more? Gangsters are in control of many cities.
7. Corrupt police are being allowed to carry on with their activities without any consequences.
8. Law enforcement is no longer a priority for the politicians who control budgets. They would rather spend the money on frivolous nonsense.
9. George Soros is knowingly and willfully funding D.A.s who have no respect for the law, so that there is more and more crime and criminals on the streets. This is a strategy to destabilize society and usher in the New World Order.
10. The highest law enforcement agency in America -- the FBI -- is now a crime syndicate. And who is going to arrest these thugs?

Yes you make a lot of good points here and I have addressed this here on multiple occasions. Police in America are disastrously under trained.
There's a good interview I listen to with professional MMA fighter Rener Gracie talking about how the average police officer gets maybe an hour per year of Hands-On takedown training, so when they get into a melee with a resisting suspect, they have no idea what they're doing and end up killing the suspect, when if they were properly trained, they could just put the guy in a submission hold

One of the biggest issues today is that many areas have lowered their standards in the name of diversity.

You very very well have a point there but I still believe there are some people who are just not cut out to be police officers
A buddy of mine who recently got killed by a drunk driver was a Tennessee State trooper
He was arresting a drunk driver once and the guy tried to punch him.
The guy went to jail with a broken arm but he didn't kill the guy

This was a tragedy, and those responsible have been charged.
See no good in continuing to protest or discuss over and over,
I will wait and see what happens in the courts.

No I am comparing petty traffic infraction to a grandmother being waved into the congress building by the police only to be charged with the heinous crime of trespassing.

You continue to lie about these ones who have been convicted of insurrection. Many were convicted of trespassing, not insurrection.

The real comparison is of the two women killed on that day to this boy being killed. One woman was shot dead by the police, she was unarmed, posed no threat, and had no prior criminal record. Is there a trial? Can't we at least get this policeman to stand trial and prove one way or another if he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt? Nope, this war veteran is treated like something to be scraped off your shoe while these five police get the book thrown at them.

Also, we are told that it was a minor traffic violation, but why no video footage of that? Also what about resisting arrest?
I didn't see any resisting on the video. All I saw was five cops beating a guy to death

I think it's relevant for the reason I mentioned earlier. Most cops in America are disasterously under trained
One officer with jujitsu training probably could have just put him in a submission hold and put him in handcuffs

So why would you get into a fight with the police that requires them to take you down?

I understand that shooting a suspect that has no weapon, has his hands up, and is surrendering is criminal. But once that suspect gets into a fight with the cops the threat is they will take the cops gun, to me that completely changes the equation.

I don't know what the recent case is. It looks from the video that they ripped this kid out of his car for a traffic stop. But we don't really know why he was pulled over and don't really have all the video. That seems potentially prejudicial against the cops. Now I suppose that we weren't shown that as it would have resulted in more riots, but that is simply an assumption. This guy ran from the cops, it is not illogical to think he tried to run from the cops in his car. If he had fled and driven recklessly I can see the cops being especially on edge when they did stop him.

Yeah I completely get that and this was covered in Rener Gracie's conversation with Sam Harris
When someone puts his hands on a cop, since there is a gun involved in immediately becomes a life and death struggle for the officer
However, the quicker the suspect can be subdued, the safer it is for everyone involved, including the officer
This is where the Jiu-Jitsu training comes in handy
I get that George Floyd was a career criminal but when four police officers can't arrest one unarmed guy without killing him, this is a testament to how poorly trained they are

Every time you add a new requirement for a cop you will find it that much harder to fill your roster. I would think the police would love to have ex Navy seals who are mentally stable and in top physical condition to be cops, however, I suspect the reason they have women is to help fill the rolls.

Anyone who wrestles or boxes knows that weight is very important. My dad boxed professionally, you would never put a fighter into a ring with someone who is 50 or 60 pounds more than them. There is a very good video on Youtube describing how the best woman fighter by a wide margin decided to try and fight men. She started with a guy who was trained, but relatively green and not rated very high at all. She got destroyed.

Serena Williams was destroying the women's field of professional tennis players when McEnroe said she would have been ranked about 200 on the men's circuit.

My point is there is no way that "training" is going to make up for the difference between men and women. What you see in the movies with these women beating trained fighters is total baloney.

It's almost as if five cops should be able to arrest one unarmed guy without beating him to death
Again, this is a testament to how poorly trained our police officers are

I suspect we are looking at the worse examples of police nationwide. I don't think it is a fair representation of police. I would prefer to talk to a guy with a decent rating and five years experience as a cop to get a fairer perspective.

Brazilian jiu jitsu teaches the officer to quickly subdue or resisting suspect using leverage techniques even if the suspect is bigger and stronger than the officer
In his interview with Sam Harris, Gracie mentioned that the average police officer gets maybe an hour per year of Hands-On takedown training

So what. If I have 100 pounds on this woman, even if she takes me down I will very soon be in control. I wrestled in HS. Now if this was back when I was 25-35 I would go against anyone that I had 50 pounds on, no big deal.
