This might seem like a strange question to ask here, but after having discussed the Bible for quite a while with folks, I have reached a point where I’m puzzled.
I know we disagree about many things, but some things are pretty clear in the Bible and there’s still a disagreement. I’m beginning to wonder if some Christians just don’t believe everything the Bible says. So I’m creating a poll where people can vote anonymously.
My answer is yes I believe everything the Bible says.
a yeah I think what happens is we try to understand the Bible based on what we already know about life and by what we have already heard in a church
sominstead of herring what the Bible says and believing letting that correct what we think , we take what we think and correct the Bible and call it “ interpreting “
a false doctrine is bad stuff we can start learning the wrong things in Sunday school and then when we grow up that becomes solid in us and hard to rebuke
ironically I believe most Christian’s would answer yes I believe the Bible but then it’s how they interpret it that causes the disagreements
the New Testament doesn’t need interpretation is the secret it is interpreting the old testsment which needed the holy ghosts revelations we receive in the New Testament
All we need to really do is start learning from tre New Testament letting what we learn change what we used to think or what we were taught before the Bible is there so we can know ourselves what z God has said will save us
the whole war in this world is between Gods word and the worlds lies the gospel is freely available in this world it’s for everyone that hears and believes
it’s this
“For I am not ashamed of
the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
Romans 1:16
So the enemy has to do this
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom
the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
mostly we hear “ it’s all true but it’s not meant for you “ that’s a way to get a person to turn away from the truth
“ that’s all before the cross not for the church “ anything to turn my ears away fro salvstion
that’s salvstion by works not grace and faith ect
anything to turn my thinking and belief away from what God said will save my soul
My point is false teachers use peoples trust in the Bible to distort thier beliefs and gain control over them because they willingly believe the Bible but rely on another to “ interpret it “ for them
