what, Titanic film is an adventure story?
uh, who are the people writing those trailers. You are surely being mislead. Besides, the James Cameron Titanic story never happened. There was no Rose and Jack. It was pure fantasy. lol
So, you're saying Titanic, the film story, is not an adventure story? Really?
The definition of an adventure story is; (
collinsdictionary.com) "If someone has an adventure, they become involved in an unusual, exciting, and rather dangerous journey or series of events."
(
study.com) "In an adventure story, someone leaves everything he or she knows, faces danger and excitement along the way, and with a little luck, gets to his or her final destination safely and with a story to tell."
And I looked up a few other definitions, they're all about the same.
In Titanic, Jack embarks on an exciting and dangerous journey to America. Jack is a hero, he's accused of doing something he didn't do, and is helped to escape and then he helps save Rose. And Rose is also making the journey, for her it's to be married to someone with money or to find love and freedom. Rose makes it to "tell the story", and Jack doesn't. It's a textbook adventure story. Not every adventure story ends with everyone alive.
The film industry might label it as a Drama and Romance, it's still clearly an adventure story.
Not sure why you're so surprised Titanic is an adventure story. But everyone is different, it makes things interesting. And I always enjoy your reviews here!
