I'm Alvin from the Philippines and I've been a missionary since 2014.

Yeah, Since 2014, I've been doing missions and volunteering. It is my desire to make a difference in the lives of others through missions. I am also a volunteer. I love the adventure, travel and new experiences that life brings. When I have a spare moment, I love to read books, watch movies and explore new places. I have a friend named Alvin, whose parents are from the islands.

It's not so common in America is why it came to mind. Also, I called my buddy Al for short once and he was sure to correct me that his name is Alvin, not Al. 😄

This is off topic, but do you know if Modern Arnis is popular on your Island?

The Modern Arnis is probably quite popular in Manila. There are a lot of tournaments and schools that are teaching martial arts there.
And I know Remy Presas founded the Modern Arnis.

Ah, you know a lot about the Philippines. 😅

Wow, that's awesome!
I was honored to spend time and get serious training from Remy Presas when he came to my part of the country and our school. He was our friend and mentor. I sure miss him. He had the best sense of humor.
That's when I started to become interested in the Philippines.
