This is completely false since faith in Christ is essential for anyone to be saved (Acts 16:30,31). If you did not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior, you did not obey the Gospel. And obedience to the Gospel is something a person must do or not do. So if you have no done this you cannot claim to be saved.
That's what you'd think if you believe salvation dependent upon man, but it isn't - it is completely dependent only upon God.
Faith is a gift that comes as a result of having been saved and born-again. It cannot NOT bring salvation. Christ alone
is the Saviour, we are not.

[Jde 1:25 KJV] 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

"Dependent on man" is a straw man argument. Faith being essential for salvation is embedded in Scripture, and saving faith comes from hearing the Word of God (the Gospel) (Rom 10:17). Saving faith is not given as a gift, otherwise it would be given to ABSOLUTELY everyone (because God desires the salvation of all mankind).

Christ's faith alone was necessary for salvation. Man's faith is not - it is a gift of the fruit of the Spirit upon becoming born again.

[Gal 5:22 KJV] 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

God DOES NOT desire everyone become saved - only His elect. If He did, then everyone must become saved:

[Job 23:13 KJV] 13 But he [is] in one [mind], and who can turn him? and [what] his soul desireth, even [that] he doeth.

It is by Christ's faith, not ours. He was completely faithful to the mission God gave Him. Christ's faith is
imputed to those whom He saves. It is by, and because of His faith, and not ours, that we become saved.
His faith is perfect.

Man must believe in Jesus Christ to be justified by the faith of Christ.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

If there were any then salvation couldn't be by grace
Unrelated - "GRACE" (unmerited favor) is the reason why you weren't sent to hell immediately when you sinned the first time, and fell short of God's glory. GRACE kicked in. and you were allowed to survive physically long enough to be Born Again. So was I.

Some would call that forbearance or longsuffering

the "of Jesus " is in the genitive case signifying ownership - that is, that it is Jesus's faith

Nope. Where is that found in the Bible? Grace is grace unto salvation

[Eph 2:8 KJV] 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

No unbeliever can believe of themselves because they are blinded by Satan. To believe, one must first be born again, by which,
is faith given.

[2Co 4:3-4 KJV]
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

No one can hear until given spiritual ears upon becoming born again
In your view, are people then born again before they believe in the shed righteous blood of Jesus Christ?

Belief comes first. Even we have believed in Jesus Christ. Why? That we might be justified by the faith of Jesus Christ. God’s righteousness is by faith of Jesus Christ. It’s s unto all and upon all them that believe, Jew or Gentile.

Romans 3:
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Belief (faith) comes with/by being born again. Being born again comes only from salvation.

Some would call that forbearance or longsuffering
a rose by any other name. Denominations have their own vocabularies. Like it or not, all of humanity lives on because of GOD'S GRACE, since we're ALL under sentence of death since our first SIN, and remain so until we place the FAITH the God gives us (Eph 2:8,9) in the SIN OFFERING of Jesus on the cross (Isa 53).
