I don't claim to be God but I have eyes and ears and I can see and hear that his fruits have not changed from the Donald Trump that he has always been.
you mean the Donald Trump that is publicly seen/displayed?
I will ask again.....
Do you know his heart?

On a side note,
have you ever planted produce?
First it goes into the soil, and needs a lot of tlc before it starts to grow.
A little sprout here, a stem there.
EVENTUALLY it blooms and bears its fruit.
Sometimes the first harvest isn't very good.
In fact, sometimes it's very tiny, bitter or sour.
But, after a few more seasons it begins to bring forth something pleasant.
Sometimes, it just takes TIME for pleasant produce to be produced.

You're married to Jesus lives?
Yes, I met her on this site shortly after I joined in 2014 and got married later that year on Thanksgiving Day.. We just recently celebrated our 8th anniversary. Christian Chat has been a tremendous blessing to the both of us.

If you have read some of my other posts in this thread you would see that I have sincerely prayed for Donald to give his heart to God because God transforms us and it does take time. However, can you imagine the good Donald could do if he had an aha moment and changed like Paul... With the people he influences he would have the ability to influence a lot of people toward God in a good way.

I didn't ask if you've prayed about this, I asked if you know his heart?

 funny thing here though, it's really hard to belittle and point fault at someone when you genuinely carry them in prayer.

can you imagine the good Donald could do
And yes, I can.
I've seen first hand the good this man can and has done.
I live in an area that he personally visited and helped, very little media coverage.
In fact what little media did get coverage did what they do and bashed the man.
Too bad they didn't take time to interview common folks who he personally helped and showed compassion/care/concerns for.

Trump said that while he hasn’t asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.

At first I ignored this debate about Donald Trump as trivial, but now I see it as sovereign of the Lord.

So here is a quote from the article:

“People are so shocked when they find … out I am Protestant. I am Presbyterian. And I go to church and I love God and I love my church,” he said.

Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.

“I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”

Trump said that while he hasn’t asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.

“When I drink my little wine – which is about the only wine I drink – and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed,” he said. “I think in terms of ‘let’s go on and let’s make it right.’”

I have included some of the context because the issue that many are taking from this is the claim that he goes to church, loves God, loves his church but is not sure if he has ever asked for forgiveness, rather he just tries to make it right. This then is tied to taking communion.

Now there are a variety of responses, JesusLives is one extreme concluding that "he is clearly not a Christian" Post #150.

But I have a very different response based on Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

These two verses have a very interesting assumption here, if I see someone trespass the assumption is that I also have trespassed. For example, if I see someone say they love God, they love the church but they don't like to ask forgiveness of God and yet they still take communion. That is clearly something that the Bible addresses and says we should first go and be reconciled and then take communion, but have I always done that? I don't think so. I would go so far as to suggest it is highly likely I have offended others and not been reconciled first before taking communion again. I have trespassed on this issue, and so I am so thankful that the Lord would give me an opportunity to forgive Trump his trespasses so that God the Father could forgive me my trespasses even as I forgive others their trespasses.

I first noticed this when listening to my sister express her outrage over one of Trump's jokes that was caught on a microphone when he didn't realize they were recording. What Trump said was terrible, but as she talked she made it seem like he was the worst person in the world. Yet in my mind I was thinking, "hold on, I have heard you say some pretty offensive stuff". So you know what, Donald Trump I also forgive you for that trespass because God knows I have probably said a few things that I regret having said myself.

The Bible says we will be judged for every idle word we say and it also says if we forgive men their trespasses our heavenly father will also forgive us our trespasses.

I would say neither Jesus lives nor anyone else can judge if God knows Donald.

As they judge so too can they be judged.

It's one thing to be a Democrat and loathe a Republican president out of party loyalty. I think it is quite another to insist that Republican is not Saved.

God knows his own by name. Maybe Trump haters should consider hate is not a Christian value.

Mean while back to Pence.... No one who voted for him really answered my question about when supporting him in 2016 and even 2020 Why jump ship and not talking so good about him in this thread. Maybe one answered.

Still interested in the lack of support and why more against him in this thread now? What enlightening info has come out?

I think it's a matter of fairness.
When someone is anti-Trump they might care to find out why Republicans are anti-RINO Pence.
It's obvious to Republicans I expect.

Just because Pence was VP with Trump does not mean he would make a good president anymore than Biden being VP for Obama means he would be a good president or Harris being VP for Biden means she would be a good president.

That is a more relevant question. Between Pence and Harris who would you vote for?
