Revelation 3:20 is not about saving the lost by them opening the door of their heart and inviting Jesus in. Jesus is speaking to christians at the church of Laodicea about not beimg luke warm.

Ripping scripture out of context dont change the meaning. That passage in no way suggests inviting Jesus into your heart.
Having read Ephesians 3:17, I think the average reader would conclude that through faith, the person of Christ would be dwelling in their heart. Having understood this and believing this in faith, it would mean that they are accepting Christ into their heart welcomingly. Wouldn't that be an invitation to Christ? What do you think this verse means?

Go read the writings of these great men of faith, Augustine, Pelagius, Calvin, Arminius etc. and learn the history of Christ's church instead of ignorantly arguing.

When you carefully examine how Christ describes the people in this church, it is clear that they are merely professing Christians (and there are many churches today which would correspond). They do not have Christ within. Here is what we read: Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art [1] wretched, and [2] miserable, and [3] poor, and [4] blind, and [5] naked:
This describes an unregenerate person. Genuine believers are not naked, since they are clothed with the righteousness of Christ. They are not blind because they have the indwelling Holy Spirit. They are not poor because they have the riches of Christ. They are not miserable because they have the joy of the Lord. They are not wretched because they know that they have been saved from Hell.
We would probably argue with them too.

If God says anything it's true and will work out what I meant by that is " all that matters to faith is that Jesus said it, it's always going to be true if he said it

Very nice Pilgrimshope The only point I was looking to make is that some believe God chooses who will be saved and who will not be saved, if God has to choose, then he does not know at the start (Psalm 139:13-16), but he does! He chooses for all to be saved but he has also given free will to us, to make that choice.
Example I have been chosen to play for a professional baseball team, does that mean I have to play for them?? NO, of course not, I can pass on it, and choose another team, or simply not play at all. Whether or not I have chosen poorly or wisely depends upon us, but the Good Lord would have us choose wisely.
