I, have addictions with liquire, smoking, women. A minister at church made me his project, no matter what was going on or who he was with, he,d run over hug me and say hi bud, we went to Tim,s together, ate together at sat, mens breackfast. out of everyone there he chased me. and would allways say Rocky. God does not make junk. He died not long ago. And I feel I Failed that great man. I still struggel to live a christian life, i pray daily. and here i am on here.

Your friend was probably showing you grace.
God knows what we have done and how we fail. He doesn't excuse it, after all He suffered quite a lot because of our sins. However, He doesn't demand we clean up our lives to be accepted by Him. Grace is undeserved and unearned by our good deeds. God offers it because He is kind, not because we are good. As much as your minister friend showed you kindness, God showed far more. That's why He gave His only begotten Son to suffer for all of our sins on the cross.

This is a special day and I think your friend would want you to be blessed by the short message in this link. When you decide that you want that grace, then you will have the best Thanksgiving of your life.

Hello Chris. Sorry to hear that your spiritual guide passed away.
‘I would recommend following up with that minister’s church since he was your guide and avoid any internet Christian forums because they might turn you off during your new journey.
But don’t confuse the God’s message with man’s despite of what they say to you.
