Interesting statement. Are there any studies? An attorney in Chicago mentions something about this on his commercials.
The Fatherhood Educational Institute has shared statistics showing that 72% of all teenage
murderers grew up without fathers; 60% of rapists were raised in fatherless homes; 70% of
kids now incarcerated in juvenile corrections facilities grew up in a single-parent environment.
Additionally, a growing body of evidence shows a high correlation between fatherlessness and
violence among young men, especially violence against women. source

Many people may not accept a study or any ideas from this group based on 'racial' considerations. Surprising to see.
My best friend growing up had both parents at home and ended up doing a lot of prison time and I grew up without father and only did 3 months and juvenile only. i.e. age 16 Right there two outliers according to their position.

Maybe they should redo the study and sort out other factors: alcoholism and drug abuse. And also by criminal activity more specifically categorized????>>FBI profiler Robert Ressler's book 'Whoever Fights Monsters' would be some reference material to consult. Ressler may be dead. He consulted on movie 'Silence of the Lambs' so maybe someone could sue his 'estate' for funding.>>>LOL???Who knows?

Otherwise stork migrations cause women to be pregnant. Obviously not true. But in truth the earlier colder weather caused more married couples to spend more time in their homes together...causing more babies.
It's a Correlation and not a causation.
And it could be that the women consented to relations with unsuitable fathers to begin with...and ultimately the men left the women stranded with a child...
The cause of a lack of fathers is noteworthy to be sure...and a key signal that something is amiss. But it can be that the biological fathers also transferred genetic traits to children they didn't parent while moving off to breed with yet another unsuspecting woman and ultimately because of their genetically ordained psychosis committed crimes.
So...there is something there...we just don't know exactly what yet.
We do know that a certain amount of genetics plays a role in criminality as well as the nurturing role a father plays. If both aspects are healthy then the likelihood of a healthy, well-adjusted child will result is high....if one of those things goes "wrong" then criminal, antisocial behavior will result.
There was a New Zealand study that followed brain dynamics and conduct which was fairly exhaustive and long term. It followed a large group of children for over 20 years and included recreational drug use, genetics, parenting and education.
Absence or inclusion of a father figure plays a role but it isn't all encompassing.

During the 2008 economic 'downturn' I had to agree with the RC priest where AA meetings were conducted when some were lamenting the economy. The RC priest and I were in agreement that jobs were needed but not being provided and this also is a contributing factor in giving rise to crime. At this time this is 'supposedly' not a factor as US is at near full employment. However, cost of living is not mentioned and many are struggling to pay bills according to news reports. Canada may be dealing with similar condition???..My personal take is off the charts!!!! WBBM news radio Chicago today reports 'Service Employees' union, strongest in US, asks for minimum $25/hr.
Here in Middle TN the ongoing labor shortage hasn't had a let up yet. We always have fast food restaurants closed simply for a lack of labor...been a thing for over a year now. Same thing with other industries like Amazon warehouse and cardboard box manufacturers and cold storage facilities. They keep ads running....
Vanderbilt Medical Center has open beds but no nursing staff to work them.
It's the same in construction projects too...not enough labor for most projects.
So wages have gone up as a result...they are offering $30/hr for construction electricians and still not getting any takers.
So....
Until businesses start offering reasonable wages that truly reflect housing costs ($2,000/mo for 2 bedroom apartment in the suburbs on the edge of the city) they are not going to get anyone.
Usually the standard is a week's pay equals a month's rent.
2,400 ÷ 40 = $60/hr. (20% taxes)
2,000 ÷ 40 = $50/hr.....no taxes taken.
So....until either housing costs fall dramatically or wages must increase drastically. Or we will continue to have labor shortages...and people fleeing this city to try and survive.

I've made 4 pies (apple, pecan, and 2 pumpkin) and all of their crusts from scratch today....
Baked off 9 loaves of bread....4 sourdough and 5 whole wheat.
Tomorrow I start cooking in earnest. I delivered a 20# raw turkey with instructions tonight and it's supposed to go into the oven at 9 am tomorrow.
All I got left is green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, Mashed spuds, carrots and gravy. All of which I'll do tomorrow.

I was going to make some pie crusts but had no luck as my local grocer was out of scratch.

All seriousness aside. Never would even attempt to bake but question? I buy blanched Almond flour and mix it in to peanut butter. Wonder if Almond flour is or can be used for baking? Maybe cookies? I might take some quick oats and mix with peanut butter and try to nuke it. Quick cookies!!??
Fine almond flour is used in macaroons....pretty cookies and the sky is the limit for varieties.
12 oz flour, 8 oz butter, tsp salt.
Put in food processor and pulse for 6-8 seconds.
Then mix in a little ice water at a time until it just forms a dough.......roll out and line a pie tin.
