i find it difficult to believe that this teacher was fired for mis-gendering a student.

Umm humm well those aren't the facts.

As a country that separates church and state, we cannot simply allow public employees, whose salaries are paid by our taxes, to impose their religious beliefs within public institutions that are there to serve everyone.

That cuts both ways. I pay taxes also, as others do. Same as the situation with the baker. And separation of church and state isn't in the constitution. A particular religion cannot be established, as it was when the founders left England. But we still have religious rights.

Birth Defects just happens to be used in many definitions for Mental Illness or Psychological Disorders.

Mother takes over the counter medication during pregnancy and the child is born with Autism.

Mother drinks alcohol during pregnancy and the child is born suffering from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

Plus, it proves God did not create the child that way but human or environmental interference is the culprit.

The Constitution doesn't specifically say separation of church and state. What it says is that Congress can't pass laws that favor any one religion or that discriminate against any one religion.

I think you are referring to educator's complaints about some recently passed laws in some states that would force educator's to out students who confided in them that they are LGBT. The issue is that there is often reason to believe that informing the parents of this will result in that student being subjected to abuse and even violence in the home.

That is making an assumption. No one has a right to talk to my child behind my back, for any reason. Especially when it comes to their sexuality. It is no ones business but the parent and child. We have hospitals today that are doing the same thing that we use to accuse third world countries of, genital mutilation. Nothing or no one would come between me and my child. No one has that right.

That's different than another adult talking behind a parents back about their sexuality. Parental rights trump anyone elses rights.

It is important to quote someone in context. Otherwise you distort the meaning. Notice the first phrase, which includes "should the people of America once become capable..." It is not a foregone conclusion.
