Which law exactly?
All law is based on the Constitution and not religious texts because America is a constitutional republic, not a theocracy
If I wanted to live in a theocracy, I would moved to Saudi Arabia where they make women walk around in trash bags

Well the point I've been making ad nauseam on this post is we don't pass laws on the bible. We pass laws on the Constitution
Which is based on Christian ideals. Endowed by whom? That is why marriage was always between a man and a woman.

Do you understand the difference between "principles" and "theocracy."

Now who is using false equivalency?

We've had the same conversation a million times here over the years. Most of the founding fathers were deist

Theocracy is trying to use legislation to impose your religious ideals on someone else. Not everyone in America is Christian and they have a right not to be as per the Constitution
The only legal requirements for marriage should be that they are both human and they are both adults and that they both consent
And yes I am a libertarian because I can't get behind criminalizing anything if you can't point to a victim

Wall Builders makes a pretty good case that they were not. And they use evidence to do so. Be a good discussion to start in another thread and dig up the facts.

People who my last children go to jail so that's a red herring
Also at the risk of being redundant, if you want to base laws on religious text then that requires a great deal of cherry picking. There's a reason we don't Stone people for blasphemy anymore or some women for being witches because civilized societies don't do that

Explain to me why the name change?
That's just a small group of woke cuckoos. I've had multiple gay friends over the years and not a single one of them would support pedophilia
Also at the rooster being redundant, Tennessee which is a mostly Christian state is trying to legalize child marriage

No they aren't, they are trying to legalize common law marriage. They have no age limit on the bill so opponents are saying children could get married. But as you said, so far, it is illegal. I know gay people who don't support transgenders, but that hasn't stopped it. Watch and see if it doesn't. When they relabel a term, there is a reason.

Well you deny there are victims, very sad how you reason.

I get enough "wokeness" in my everyday to life, I find no edification to come on here and have to deal with it from a "Christian"

You malign Christians and thereby malign Christ. Yes, they are persecuted because they know good from evil.

Yeah that just goes to my point. Tennessee is a predominantly Christian State and they're trying to legalize child marriage

No. Someone disagreeing with you is not persecution. Maybe grow thick or skin

There are countries like Egypt right now where Christians are literally being killed for being Christian but Christians in America think they are prosecuted because people disagree with them
So that's acting just like the woke left thinking everyone who disagrees with you is prosecuting you

Really just comes down to Christians in America having a persecution complex.
I was referring to this ^^^^

No. Someone disagreeing with you is not persecution. Maybe grow thick or skin
So far you barely reached an actual position of disagreeing with me, you have just made broad sweeping emotional assertions.

But I will be waiting for you to bring out actual legal and logical arguments in support of non traditional marriage :coffee: :coffee: Cofefe time.

You know not everything has to be to the 99th degree to be considered "true" persecution.
Christians are vilified on campuses across North America.

The woke left has perfected the persecution complex, just go to tiktok.

Christians in China are literally being put in concentration camps but I bet the device you're using right now was made in china.
But oh no Bob and Steve want to get married.

All, and i do mean all, of the evidence says that a person's orientation is inborn.
according to science.

But several studies reveal that too much estrogen [extreme vegan diets] or trauma like sexual abuse is a major factor for young boys who later become involved in same sex relationships.

It's been proven these boys were not homosexual nor possessed any traits but due to circumstances are basically mentally ill from their experiences.

It's no difference than children picked on and becoming narcissistic.

They're not born that way but become it due to trauma.
