Trump didn't make the vaccine in his basement. Nor did he demand that anyone get vaccinated. If you didn't listen to his speech last night you should go give it a listen. He touched on that. Secondly, Ron is a big boy, he can handle it. Like I said, it's like a wrestling match. Behind the scenes they are buddies. Trump voted for him. Don't need to get your knickers in a twist. It's the way the game is played.
Well let's talk about what he did do.
1. He guaranteed $10 billion to be paid to the developers of the vaccine.
This is what is known in poker as a tell. You have a worldwide pandemic, the whole world is begging for a cure and the drug makers won't touch this without a guarantee of being paid? Obviously if it was a cure they would be paid, this tells you how much confidence they had in the vaccine.
2. He facilitated a vaccine to be rushed to market.
This gave it legitimacy. Everyone who has been vaccine hesitant argues that the testing is not adequate and these products are rushed to market. Now it isn't them but a national emergency that rushed it to market.
3. We were assured that the products would be tested in trials to guarantee they were safe and effective at stopping transmission. This was never done.
4. The fact that the vaccine was a "bipartisan" effort with Trump handing it off to Biden gave it added legitimacy.
If Trump was a useful idiot like Colin Powell why does he continue to tout that as a success?
If Trump is not responsible for the vaccine then why is Biden responsible for the abandonment of Afghanistan? They both simply gave the order to be carried out.
If Trump is not responsible for the vaccine then why does he get credit for Roe v. Wade being overturned, he isn't a Supreme court justice, he didn't vote to overturn it.
