Romans 2:6-8
God “will repay each one according to his deeds.” To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.

Romans 2:12
All
who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

Revelation 22:12
Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done.

James 2:20
O foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is worthless?

Galatians 6:7-9
Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Amen.

Amen, but to God be all the Glory.

John 15:5

What do you think "well- doing" means? Or "doing good" in your version?

Why so much focus on the destruction of souls rather than focusing on the Good News?

Four verses mentioning wrath, perishing, destruction and worthlessness but no mention of grace. What point was missed?

Works follow faith. Those are not laws or directives they are diagnosis. If faith has no works it is worthless isnt a directive to do works. It is a diagnosis that the said faith has not produced anything so the said faith is dead. If the faith is alive it produces in a person good stuff.

So you said it when you posted. No mention of Grace, Or another word maybe, no mention of the Gospel. The Gospel produces faith and faith produces works.

I should have made it clear initially that my first post pertains to many threads on CC. Then I became more specific with my second post.

Galatians 6:8,9
The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.

Context
Galatians 5:19-25
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.

The Bible has a whole raft of actions which would be regarded as "doing good". They include both words and deeds. The Bible even tells us that Christ went about "doing good". Anything that helps anyone else (materially, emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually and unselfishly) is "doing good".

It’s easy for people to say how much they love the Lord, they may be able to deceive man, but God knows the mind. Many profess they know God, but in their works they deny him everyday. Paul said in (Titus 1:16) They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him; being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Yea, most people are talking about how they know God with their lips, but by they works they are doing something totally different. The Lord God commanded people to remember the Sabbath day (which is the seventh day of the week) to keep it holy and people deny him to his face by saying “I go to church on Sunday (the first day of the week) because Paul broke bread on Sunday”. There's no other day to go to church on, but what's written in the Bible. So people have been taught to do the things thats not written in the Bible and to use the Bible to justify it.

Paul said in (Gal. 6:) (v.3) For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. (v.4) But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

The book says let every man prove his own work, and if your work is good then you will rejoice in it. (v.5) For every man shall bear his own burden. That’s right; every man must bear his own burden. You mean you thought that all you had to do was confess the name of Jesus and that was it? Brothers and sisters you must work to get salvation. (v.7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. God is not to be played with. Whatsoever you plant, that’s what you are going to reap. Be it good works unto eternal life, or evil works unto eternal damnation. The choice is yours, and your works belong to you.

Doing good takes action. Eternal deliverance is not accomplished by man's actions. That would be eternal salvation gained by our works. We are spiritually born unto good works. Good works follows being spiritually born.

So why are you contradicting yourself? Good works without action means NO goods works. So what do you means by "not accomplished by man's actions"? Did you mean wishful thinking?

Eternal salvation is not accomplished by doing good works. Eternal salvation is determined by God's election. God choose Jacob over Esau not because of them doing anything good or bad, but to show that His election might stand (Rom 9:11).

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8, 10‬ ‭

“This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we need repent of these kinds of works

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And then we need to hear and believe the gospel so we can know how to live right and the good works prepared for us to walk in

Often we look at Moses law to try to find those works were meant to walk in but that’s not where we find them we find the works prepared for us to walk in in the gospel of Gods son

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:35-

we’re meant to walk after the spirit in the gospel and stop walking in the flesh works of the world. The place we can start to learn Gods Will for us is the gospel those works were meant to walk in are the teachings of Jesus Christ

Every disciple of Jesus will come to this intersection at some point and need to answer this question

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. ( Jesus teachings )

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

as Christian’s we don’t need to seek the foundation but instead we need to accept and believe the foundation and not try to build without it again tbe foundation not being the law of
Moses but the gospel of Jesus Christ

Doing good takes action. Eternal deliverance is not accomplished by man's actions. That would be eternal salvation gained by our works. We are spiritually born unto good works. Good works follows being spiritually born.
The bible says, we must not only be a hearer of the word, but a doer of the word also (James 1:21-22). DON'T FOOL YOURSELF! If we really have faith in Jesus our actions will prove it. If Jesus is our Lord then we will obey him. Even a child will obey a parent, by getting good grades in school, for the reward of a new bicycle. The child cannot earn money for the bicycle, but instead must act upon their faith to receive the free gift. We must do the same to receive eternal life. "FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD” (James 2:20).

Nevertheless, in judgment each one of us will give account for our own salvation. Therefore, we must not let anyone lead us down the wrong path, but should verify all of our teaching with the holy bible. YOUR SALVATION IS AT STAKE! "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12).
