Yeah we've been over this. You don't have a constitutional right to slander and defame people
There laws against defamation and you will be held accountable.
By 2070 Christianity is projected to be the minority in america. There's a reason for this. America has had enough of the hypocrisy from the religious right. Pretending to have the Monopoly on morality while propping up immoral thugs like Alex Jones.. this man is a waste of oxygen and should swing from the courthouse lawn for what he did to these people

yep, that sounds totally reasonable .

say some hurtful things, well, get the noose ready....

say a experimental vaccine is safe and effective, and it turns out not be, well, that's o k, they meant well,,,,

I don't know why we keep having to cover this same ground but you have a constitutional right to say mean things to people. You don't have a constitutional right to slander and defame people

it is setting a precedent. Did you hear Kanye West is being sued by George Floyd's wife for 250 million dollars because he said Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose? It's also interesting that he GAVE her 2 million dollars after Floyd died, for her daughter's education and they were oh-so-happy for all that moola. But immediately after Jones was dinged a billion dollars, the wife decided to go after Kanye. I'm not a Kanye fan at all but he spoke the truth and, odds are, is going to have to pay big bucks for his comment. Right now they're going after the rich but now that the precedent is set, they'll be coming after anyone who says anything that might hurt "feelings". Well, as long as it's a conservative. Liberals somehow escape that scam.
There are specific conditions that have to be met legally for a defamation lawsuit and I don't think the Kanye lawsuit will fit that you have to move the person is lying and not just stating an opinion.
It was proven in court that Alex Jones died when he said no one died at Sandy Hook or uvalde you also have to prove that the defamation caused like causing families to get death threats

I'm not a fan of Kanye because I think he's a pompous windbag but they won't win this lawsuit
There are people on the left who should be held accountable too like Sam Harris and Jordan Peterson should have sued the New York times for implicating them in a mosque shooting
For the way the Southern poverty law center puts out names of secular content creators calling them anti-muslim extremists which causes them to get death threats

I don't know. George Floyd has basically been turned into a "saint". I would hope the lawsuit wouldn't go anywhere but they could argue Kanye slandered Floyds "good reputation" or something. I mean, his death sparked protests that have caused a lot of damage and so many people believe he was murdered...the wife could win the case just based on public opinion alone. If she does win, then that will make it even easier for people to sue anytime someone says something another person doesn't like. Whether it's slander or just an opinion.
Guess we'll have to see how this goes and how it affects the judicial system, eh?

I knew we were in trouble years ago with the Liberals invention and prosecution of the censorship phrase, political correctness.

If you persecute, prosecute people for their words, it morphs into self censorship that also blunts free thought. Because the fear of being disciplined for what is said graduates to being afraid to even think ''it''.

Even though George Floyd was a career criminal I still wonder how four officers can't subdue one unarmed guy without killing him
It seems like they had no idea what they were doing

Did you see the news shortly after his death where Antifa members, disguised as regular folk were baptising people on the spot where he was murdered?

''Saint George''.

The police did kill him. However the drugs were an aggravating factor that hastened cardiac arrest.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Floyd family lost this effort against Kanye.

In a society which does not respect free speech, however, merely saying words is apparently grounds of levying fines of hundreds of millions of dollars. (Actual threats of violence directed at specific persons are dangerous, but are not what we are talking about here, and that’s not what Jones has been accused of.)''

Nope.
If you can prove in court that someone deliberately lied and those lies caused damages then you have a case for defamation. I don't know why everyone keeps saying Free speech because you don't have a constitutional right slander and defame people
He brought this on himself.

Having an aneurysm is not necessarily the problem... the problem occurs if and when it bursts. There are two different types, but essentially both are weakened vessel walls where a swelling occurs. One is like a balloon and the other is like a tire surrounding the vessel (trying to give visuals) so if the tire one bursts it is potentially much worse because more blood will escape faster. Think of an interior vessel being severed. Whereas if the balloon type bursts, there is only a hole in the blood vessel allowing blood to escape. I suppose it could be a big hole but still not as bad as a completely severed vessel. Any ways. It is genetic in some cases, so my daughter has been tested and she has a small aneurysm in her optic area that they will keep an eye on. No pun intended ;):giggle: It is not expected to be a problem but you never know, right? And in my brother's case? Wow. Long story. And truly miraculous that he survived. He was in a coma for close to two weeks.
This audio file reminded me of our discussion. This is one of my doctors who I've trained under for years. She doesn't cover aneurysms, but rather clots in general. There's lots more in the description if you want to listen to any more.
Jennifer describes how she met her husband and his health challenge as a personal example to help others. Unfortunately, her husband died of a simple common problem and the simple preventative steps to blood clots throughout the body in the first 15 minutes. You can scroll forward easily past the intro and ad if you want. Have a blessed.day.

You are welcome, H&H... I hope your dad is okay. It sounds like his has hemorrhaged! My
daughter's has not. Currently it shows up on a scan as a 2mm vascular bump in her optical
area. She has told me some stats about these things, but I forget a lot of it  I do recall
that she said something like 4% of people have aneurysms, but it is likely that most will
never know this about themselves unless it bursts, and they survive it. Because my brother
survived such a serious hemorrhage, a research team has contacted him due to his relation
to my daughter (as her uncle) to be part of their control group, though it is normally only
direct relations (such as her dad) that would be of interest to them. Blessings to you and yours! :)
PS:. Listen to the 40 minute mark forward too. Same subject but more details.

In order to win a defamation lawsuit you need to establish that the individual deliberately lied which Alex Jones did and you also have to demonstrate that the lies caused damages like causing families to get death threats
This is like saying I can't believe these hornets came out and stung me. All I did was repeatedly poked and asked for 10 years
He brought this on himself

Just like Google/ YouTube singled AJ out for banning him from free speech, as the most Influential news commentator in the world, so the devil is using that same method here. He asked DJT for help back then and warned him that if they can shut Infowars down, eventually they will go after him. Guess what happened? Three people close to DJT and Alex told him that repeatedly. He ignored the warning when he had the power to do something. Next, they did likewise to Trump and stole the election. Free speech restrictions are now the norm and the deep state sheds blood without hardly retaliation. You even have libs on Christian forums defending the deep state. Not you EG.

The latest is this....

read that and then say there is no deep state.

Covid came from Wuhan China. And they lied about it until it was too late to do anything
China is the culprit here, not an imaginary deep state.. the reason China will face no accountability is because sanctioning them would hurt us worse than it would hurt them.
