neither calvin or luther or spurgeon or henry or augustine or popes or preachers today know that Psalm 119 is Messiah Yahshua's prayer for life

Yes, but there is a specific promise of Life in the law to the Man Who kept it in Leviticus 18:5

And ye shall observe My statutes and My judgments, by which the Man that doeth them shall live: I am YHVH.

That is the promise of life in the law. It is spoken of in Galatians 3 when it speaks of the Man to Whom the promise was made comes. The Son is the One to Whom the promise of life in the law was made. He kept and fulfilled the law by giving His life to save us which the law required of Him. to be fully obedient to the first 2 commandments of loving His Father above all and His neighbor as Himself, He had to give His life to obey His Father and to save His neighbor. That is what Psalm 119 is about and it is His prayer for life because of His obedience to the law and His Father.
yes brother there was this law of your own works alone

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10-12‬ ‭

to have the blessing of the law you have to keep every ordinance and tittle perfectly you fo one thing amiss and you now are deemed a lawbreaker under this ordination

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So the issue was this

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the testament under the law concludes this truth

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭

the law says everything Moses wrote down is the issue it’s a whole law and even has its own sacrifices according Everything he commanded them

“And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭24:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And what happened under that law was this

“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, There is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, And seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: There is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭14:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so the law has done this which was its purpose

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it was meant to do that because then man would accept the savior is offering repentance and remission of all those sins and guilt they have been made aware of the old covenant curse brings us to Jesus and his salvation in the gospel

“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:22-25, 27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’m not saying the lenient true or valid or anything but saying it was broken and he says in the law throughout the law what would happen tonthier inberitance if they broke the covenant he gave them and they agreed to a blessing or a curse if they broke the covenant and they did

“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:5‬ ‭

that’s why we need a new one they were given this choice

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

no one chose life until Christ came offering it to us salvstion from the curse offering a new and better covenant promised from the beginning before the law ever was given by Moses tomlewd everyone to guilt for sin so they would repent and believe the word of life offered only here in truth to anyone who has sinned ever even one time

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

that’s our covenant law of life

Only the Son was justified by the law by giving His life to save us as the law required of Him. When you read Psalm 119 knowing it is the Son's prayer, praising the law as His path to life and asking His Father to raise Him to life again as was promised in the law, it all makes sense and reveals so much more. In the last verse 176 He even refers to Himself as the perished or slain Lamb. most translations translate abad/avad wrong which actually means perished or destroyed. He is literally asking His Father to raise Him back to life from death as was promised to Him in the law. He is the slain Lamb Who saves us through faith in Him.

Psalm 119 can only be the Son's prayer. no one else could have prayed it and kept it. when you read it as the Son's prayer,
Well I guess your the only one who God spoke personally to to tell you personally what Psalm 119 is about ---everyone else has it wrong according to you ------

Your saying ---- in my view anyway ----that it is Jesus who is praying this prayer ----I strongly disagree with your view here -----

I say

Well Jesus is God ---so that makes no sense ---as the Psalm is praying to be obedient to the law ----and to walk in the Law ------Jesus was put here to fulfil the law that man could not keep ----so there would be no need for Jesus to be praying to be blessed and favored by God to walk in the law when He came to fulfill it ----He already possessed all He needed to do His Father's will -----------so it cannot be Jesus who is the Word --- by the way ----praying here ------The Word ---Jesus -----was still the Word at this time

===Jesus ----the Word -----wasn't made Flesh until the Gospels --Matthew --Mark ----Luke and John

Psalm 119 AMP
How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless],
Who walk in the law [and who are guided by the precepts and revealed will] of the Lord

I say
This is a powerful Life Prayer to show the right path God wants His People to walk down -----to be heaven bound and have happiness ------this is showing the straight and narrow Gate to follow ---who is Jesus to get to the right destination ------

So for me you are trying to take a piece of Scripture and make say what you think it says -----

I think you need to ask the Holy Spirit ( if He dwells in you ) to help you in your quest for understanding what this Psalm is about ----

yes, apparently it was not revealed to them or nearly anyone else. guess that makes it a responsibility to share the information. some may get it even though it's been a long long time.

one thing is certain. there is really no way to understand Psalm 119 without it being the Son's prayer. when you read so many people's commentaries on it who try to relate it back to us lawbreakers, it is rather comical if it was not so serious. listen to the peachies on youtube for a while or go read augustine or spurgeon. nothing against all the well meaning folk but they didn't get it and really missed the obvious.

ole Paul trying to provoke the jews to jealousy to save some. now he was quite a character. the most amazing thing is even the jews do not hear the Son praying in the Psalms. how can they miss it? If they cannot hear Yahshua praying in Psalm 119 how could they understand the Psalms? it would help if the Christians got it. that may even save jews and muslims since they read the OT.

not even sure Paul totally got it. He alluded to it the most in Romans and Galatians and maybe Hebrews if he wrote that one. they all know now of course since they are in the Presence and likely had some intense Bible studies since their passings. things are still being revealed after all these years.

what about Psalm 22? could that be the Son's prayer while suffering on the cross? most believers accept that. why wouldn't they accept that Psalm 119 is His prayer praising the law and asking for life because of His obedience? prove it wrong from the Psalm itself. you may end up convinced though.

OH WOW !!!!!!!!!----Puffed up statement here ----thinking your all that -----that does not come from God -it comes from Satan ---God says we are to be humble ------lay down ego ------

Be careful ==watch your EGO -----Satan lurks and it seems he has you hooked here with this Psalm 119

Don't Forget --Satan parades as an angel of Light and deceives many ------Be careful with your thinking of this Psalm 119 ----and Wrongly dividing the word --------deception could be at hand here-----:devilish:

I say
I think my statement above -----gives weight to saying it is not Jesus praying here ---------

I say the same to you Now ---------

Show the proof if you can -------that Jesus was made Flesh and was walking on this earth to pray this prayer of Psalm 119 -----Jesus is the Word ------how could the Word Pray the Word ----that makes no sense what so ever -----Jesus would have had to be in the Flesh to Pray the prayer -----and He was not here yet ---

So show me in Scripture where Jesus was actually here in the Flesh to pray that prayer ------

The Psalms of David are of the person in the flesh David -----He in person is Praying in the Psalms that he did =====So Jesus would have to be here in person ro pray it -------

guess that explains how calvin, luther, spurgeon, henry, augustine and the rest, just to name a few, missed it too. they could not comprehend the eternalness of the prayers in the Psalms and that the time they were prayed did not necessarily correspond to the time they were written down. none the less, the Psalms reveal the prayers of the Son and Psalm 119 is His timeless prayer for life because of His obedience to the law in giving His life to save us. and the Father proved that is true by answering Him and raising Him from the dead just as He asked for at least 16 times in the Psalm.

and yet, for whatever reason, based on their writings, none of them got it. kind of like today when people just can't see it, when it is so obviously clear, and explains the Scriptures. it was actually rather surprising that none of them attributed Psalm 119 to the Son when reading some of their writings. even tried to explain it to a top Hebrew scholar who ignored the posts as he was explaining 119 verse by verse. not a single reply. people don't want to get it for some reason. it messes with their failed assumptions.

He is the Living Word. we are saved by faith in Him and His sacrifice to save us. He was saved by His obedience to the law which required Him to give His life to save us.
What did the Lord Jesus Christ need to be "saved" from.
He praised the law because it was His path to life since He fully obeyed it by offering Himself and trusting His Father to raise Him as was promised to Him in the law.
"His path to life". Please elaborate.

Thanks :)

Concerning the first question what did He need to be saved from. He suffered death for our sins as if they were His own. He was made to be sin for us that we may be made the righteousness of YAH in Him, as the Scripture tells us. He bore our sins in His own body on the cross as Peter told us. He needed to be saved from the death He suffered to save us. He was obedient to the law in giving His life. He had faith in the promise of life in the law that the Father would raise Him. He was the first. Thank you for the question.
