yeah it’s almost like we don’t all understand everything the same at the same time
We are all on this journey.

Come eternity, a heretic will stand before God and have no excuse as to why they chose not to be born again.

uh yeah but who defines who a heretic is ? The Jews defined Jesus as a heretic but I’m not sure that means Jesus was a heretic

how are you defining a heretic ? Is it if someone doesn’t agree with you ? Or if they refuse to agree with the Bible and insist on teaching what isn’t really there ?
It’s not that someone disagrees with my own thinking that doesn’t define a heretic a heretic is someone who’s opposed to the teachings of Christ.

I agree if anyone won’t accept his word then they will be judged by his word

do you have this situation

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and this situation

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we don’t want to be a heretic we have to hear and believe e words of Jesus the truth you have this word

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭

and th n you have heretics bent on turning people away from that truth

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-

I’m thinking mostly chrirtians are defining heretics as someone who disagrees with their own thoughts out scripture because they think they already understand everything perfectly so then if anyone won’t agree with them they are then a heretic

we have to first realize how much we don’t actually understand before we can learn anything else when we realize we’re all on the same boat and no one’s up above looking down on anyone else then we can actually converse and come together to discuss Gods word

if we start out as those who can’t be taught anything because we already know it all we’re going to label most people heretics but blindly

I told you that it is up to God to define what a heretic is. We will be judged based on what God deems heretical.

The doctrine people believe that a person can enter into heaven as a Heretic if God deems them to be a Heretic, this is a false doctrine.
I think you need to define what heresy is though. Typically, there should be some guidelines. Like "Don't say or do XYZ thing because the Bible says it's heresy here in XYZ verses."

The American Heritage dictionary defines heresy like this:
  1. Adherence to such dissenting opinion or doctrine.
  2. A controversial or unorthodox opinion or doctrine, as in politics, philosophy, or science.
But that isn't all-encompassing either because the majority can be wrong. If the majority is wrong, and we stand alone in truth, are we still a heretic? Possibly by human standards, but not by God's.

yeah do you know what heresy is though ? It’s definately not any sin

it’s this people who knowingly teach a lie and claim it’s gods word

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Heresy is about teaching a false doctrine and claiming it’s of God like for instance “ hypergrace” that’s heresy a false doctrine that one perpetuates that turns peoples thinking against Gods word

This should clear up what a Heresy is and why it’s no good

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A heresy is when a false teacher corrupts the doctrine and spreads it among believers because it leads them away from Christ

that’s a heresy

It seems to me what RaceRunner is saying is we should all make sure we're not heretics! Anyone can fall into the trap if we're not careful.

According to God, anyone who chooses heresy is a Heretic.

Amen and also we don’t want to fall into the trap of thinking everyone is heretical
But ourself and end up judging and condemning people because we aren’t understanding what they say

heretic isn’t a label we should throw around because it is basically saying the person is a servant of the devil a false teacher intent on corrupting the church and leading people away from Christ to destruction

if we stick to Christ and the gospel we’re always going to be sticking to the truth if we start omitting what he said to create a doctrine that seems appealing we need a course correction asap

often we label based on our own thoughts “ of anyone doesn’t agree with me they are a heretic because I’m of God I speak only the truth “ we can’t have that thinking we need to all be the students
