By the way. What is a 'sufferin succotash'?

I have heard hundreds of these 'sayings' myself, half of them I do not even understand.

Love is a gift of the Holy Spirit and is poured directly into our hearts.

All the apostles teaching was given to enable you to express a perfect, fervent, love towards the brethren.

Make no mistake, we were destined to be conformed to the image of Christ. That image is perfect and eternal love.

Once again, this is not easy to accept and you should struggle with this revelation.

Interesting and my KJV search shows the passages. But Spurgeons sermon which this thread addresses does not come in to play with those passages. You may want to start a thread on your dismissal of those passages.

From a poll I observed in this forum, most people are Protestant and OSAS.

So I can reply to the OP without even mentioning Spurgeon.

Whether you were raised Catholic or in some division of the Protestant bandwidth. The onus is on you to understand the text itself.
 
Stanley only repeated what Christ tells us. If we have faith in Christ, we have faith in what he tells us.

Scripture of Christ says we will perish if we don't repent. If other words, we cannot want to sin and be forgiven of the sin we want to keep. We must be forgiven in order to live.

Your awareness is very minimal. Catholics may read the Bible today but not when I grew up. First NT I saw at age 16 in jail and used it to roll tobacco to smoke. So my first Bible went up in smoke and I was introduced to Christianity at age 19 in a 'cult' which emphasized there prophecy as the important factor of the KJV which I had a copy of and ended up burning it so my second Bible also went up in smoke and then in 2018 at age 65 I started pursuing the 'truth' so now I find people like you that have complete and perfect understanding to show me precisely how you know everything.

Paul refers to this general concept as the "Mysterious Plan" as described in Ephesians chapters one through three (using the NLT).

Upon hearing the words "Mysterious Plan" we should instantly become inquisitive, asking ourselves if we feel like we truly understand what Paul is suggesting.

I highly recommend that everyone be certain of their awareness and description of this Mysterious Plan.

I never said that I have a complete and perfect understanding of the scripture. In fact, that is not possible to attain.

I just concentrate on the primary doctrine as quoted by the apostles.

Keeping it as simple as can be.

John 3:36
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
