You've brought this to mind. :)

More seriously, it's true that most of the prophets & apostles had very difficult lives. In many cases their earthly lives would have been more comfortable for them if they had not served God.
I went to another church to their singles group and had a guy try to make moves on me. Trying to get close to me, when I went he said he was saving a seat for me, which I refused (happened a couple of times). One time he even signed me in before I got there. I finally had to almost yelling at him to leave me alone, I'm there to meet women.

You watch as people get prayers answered in days, weeks, months.....while you pray and seek GOD for decades, with no end in sight. It's sad GOD does not give you a timeline for the answer. It would really help.
? are you taking about yourself

Cos that has not been my experience. God knows the end from the beginning. And If you are saved, that is a beginning not an end.

Also, if you do not ask for the Holy spirit, you will not receive. Have you asked or are you just praying for other things.

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Have you considered why it ends with a cord of 3 strands when all else says 2?

Just having Jesus or GOD is not enough.
He's not enough enough to you...but He is enough...Psalm 23:1...The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
I don't mean to sound unkind. Your desire is not sinful and your pain is real. But you undervalue God. If you sought for God the way you seek for a mate my guess is you would have found Him to be as I the scripture says He is.
Taste and see that the LORD He is good...There is much more to a relationship with God than you currently know.

And why would God put anyone or anything in a person's life for them to enjoy more than Him.
God is glorified when we are satisfied in Him...not someone or something else. This is why He said to Abraham...I will be thy reward.

It might help to understand that sometimes God's answer is "No".

The desire is so strong, NO is not acceptable. And I've been told it will happen. Never expected it to take over 40 years.

"“Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears. " Ezekiel 24:16

Abraham was not satisfied with just having GOD, he wanted a son. "After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” 2But Abram replied, “O Lord GOD, what can You give me, since I remain childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.”… " Genesis 15:2

I'm not understanding your point in sharing the scripture and I have truly been attempting to help you. But I feel if I continue it will be to no avail. I do desire good for you and will pray for you and hope you learn to live contentedly in whatever estate you find yourself in. Grace and peace.

"
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[f] you were doing it to me!’"
Matt 25. It appears these people didn't even know who Jesus was, but did what was required of Christians.
The text says nothing along those lines, but we do know, "without faith it is impossible to please God."

The desire is so strong
God can remove it in an instant. Would you like us to pray along those lines?

You are not the only one that faces hunger and desire and temptation. This life is not a bowl of cherries. It is a battlefield.

Hebrews 12:4
“Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.”

This does not imply that everyone is entitled to anything they want from God. He is not a vending machine. He knows what is best for us. We ought to be content and at peace with that.

1 Timothy 6:6
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

If you had been through what many of us have been through, you would be glad to just be alive and be saved.

Eccelsiastes was talking about the trinity -- Jesus, son. Holy spirit, and Father

I guess if you dont understand that you not really discerning spiritual things or who the helper is.
Jesus never said I will send you a wife. He never promised everyone would get married. He said I will send you the helper from the Father.

I mean sure us women sure dont look like the holy spirit. You cant see the holy spirit. The spirit blows where it wills.

In my case, I have been praying for several things but more specifically about a health issue and a cure for this health issue is found. But, I know in terms of science, much is still needed to be understood about this issue so there may not be a cure during my lifetime.
I suggest you try going to a Christian with a PROVEN healing ministry for healing from the Lord Jesus by a gift of healing.

Make you wonder how Abraham and Joseph handled it. They were serving for decades and while others around them were having prayers answered they got nothing for decades. I wish more was written on their stories.
well ... God gave Joey a dream

it all turned out fantastically well .... in the end
