Did Jesus Forgive Us All Our Sins; Past/Present/Future

If Jesus forgave us all our sins, why did Paul caution us?

Paul made it abundantly clear that sin has consequences: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows” (Galatians 6:7). Paul then describes the end of those who indulge in sinful behavior: “The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction” (Galatians 6:8).

steal from your job, get caught, get fired. destruction of part of your life.

cheat on your spouse, get caught, get divorced. destruction of that part of your life.

tell lies, get caught, no one trusts you anymore. destuction of that part of your life.

now, all these sins are forgivable , but the negative results of the sin remains.

We know from Romans 8 that there is now therefore no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. We have passed from death to life. So the destruction must be temporal and not eternal.
An example is an alcoholic. His sins are forgiven but he may still die of cirrhosis of the liver caused by the years of abuse.

He was talking to and teaching His followers when He said, "If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. "

Jesus was talking to His followers and He didn't tell them they were freed from the consequences of sin.

I agree and perhaps my inability to communicate that well suggested otherwise. I was merely trying to point out the difference between eternal consequences and temporal ones.

Yes, I still have my eyes and hands. However, I do take Jesus' warnings very seriously and, even as a Christian I know these warnings apply to me. When Jesus warns, best stand to attention and take heed because He's speaking to you and me.

It is true that Jesus predominately preached His Gospel to the Jews, no doubt about that. And you are saying that Jesus' teachings in the 4 Gospels only applied to the Jews of the day and that they weren't for all souls, past/present/future?

Well praise God one post kinda caught me off guard and really made me laugh.. thanks Sis.

Yes free from sin it no longer has a hold on us. OT it was only covered. Today if we believe in trust in Christ we are made new that new man which after GOD IS created in righteousness and true holiness. New spirit? Paul I do what I don't want to do.. what I want to do I don't do. Its no longer I that sin but sin that is in me. It was said here there is no more condemnation to them in Christ Jesus. Nor does He judge us since that judgement He took for the world. HELLO GOOD NEWS

If jesus did nto pay for future sin, You better never sin again, Because once you do. there is no more payment for sin. Your under law. and according to the law. Guilty and cursed.
