After over 50 years of listening to "End times teachers", in various denominational venues, and having read the books and articles in years past, and listened to "Chicken Littles" for decades, my reaction to it is just to smile, say "That's interesting", and walk away.
Understandable.

But remember in the story of the boy who cried wolf, the wolf DID eventually show up. And many of the flock were lost.

A crown of righteousness

2Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

It is very hard for me to believe that a professing Christian loves the Lord's appearing if they are apathetic about everything in the Bible that talks about that appearing.

There was an elder at a church I used to meet at in Texas. He always joked that he was "pan trib" meaning "it will all pan out in the end". People would laugh at that but it always hit the wrong note with me.

Really now.

Many years ago my wife and I went for cognitive testing. Multiple tests over several days including an IQ test.

I tested out at the 85% level. Meaning only 15% of people assimilate information better than I do.

So until you show me YOUR cognitive level, via actual testing, I would suggest you quit assuming things you don't know and lissen up.
This number may be skewed a bit higher because the test has no way of accounting for the people who were too smart to take such a test.

That is the way I feel until I see that all things are under God's sovereignty. Once I see that I am much happier. This is like taking a dog and rubbing his nose in a poop he did in the house. This is how you get people to repent. If inflation and world war will lead people to repentance and salvation it is a good thing.

The Great Depression was a great event when viewed in terms of revival and people being saved. The same is true of WWI. In WWII the Gideon's gave every soldier a bible. Those wars were instrumental in the Gideon's being changed from a US ministry to a global ministry.
The same is true throughout history. The destruction of Jerusalem in the 1st century led to a spread of the gospel then. The Babylonian captivity brought salvation there. And even the migration to the United States through the southern border is doing the same.

I haven't voted left or right since Ross Perot.
.
Great, then don't admonish those who do. And if you don't vote at all, don't complain when things go wrong in the country.

I can't vote left because I will not support immorality, poly/atheism, enablement, or the abdication of responsibility (which includes abortion)
Good, I'm glad you don't.

I can't vote right because I won't support mammon worship, self-idolatry, cheating workers, abandonment of the poor and sick, or lies and hypocrisy.
YOU can't. Don't admonish those who do and believe that voting Repub. is closest to their values and beliefs as a Christian and can't sit home and watch the country go to hell.
You can't have change by voting for more of the same old thing.

The left deceives the world. The right deceives believers. Both roads lead to tribulation.
You're totally entitled to your opinion. You're entitled to sit home and not vote. But don't bash people who pray and make the decision to vote. People fought and died for that right and I will always vote. Always.

But that's nothing we haven't discussed before.

You just let your bias deafen your understanding. Thus you don't understand. And probably never will.

Sigh.
I think I have explained it here. I will always vote. And because I believe it's important to vote, then I vote the party that is closest to what I believe. If you don't vote either, that is your right.

So you think supporting those who violate Gods truths by promoting mammon worship, self-idolatry, cheating workers, abandonment of the poor and sick, and lies & hypocrisy is ok because "the other guys sins are worse" and it's better to support these sins than not voting at all.

What do you think all those scriptures about false prophets leading God's people away from His truths are talking about?

You're putting your right to vote above your commitment to God.

Hey don't stop there. Do you use google, Apple, Amazon.com, or any other company. First find out if the owners and board of directors and major shareholders violate God's truths by promoting mammon worship, self idolatry, cheating workers, abandonment of the poor, and sick and lies & hypocrisy is OK. If you are going to keep the law then you must keep all of it, drop the ball in any one place and you have dropped the whole ball.

No, I believe that's your opinion. You're entitled to it. I totally disagree and I'm going to vote for the party closest to my values.

Prophets, you answered your own question.

You're putting your right to vote above your commitment to God.
Not in the least. You're twisting Scripture to say something it doesn't. And voting is the right and Godly thing to do. Especially with what the progressives are pushing in this country.

Christians do reject the idea of Trump (or the military, or ourselves, or anyone else) as Saviour. The danger, as I see it, is to those who are religious, but do not know Christ. There are many supportive of Trump for good reasons, who do not know Christ. It is common for these to say "we must save ourselves", or "trust the plan" (i.e. which can be taken by some to mean the military and/or Trump will save us). These may not have religious intent - yet.

But I believe it is wise for Christians to correct such wrong thinking now, while our voices can be heard. Because I'm sure there will be a point reached where the anger at the wickedness of the left will be so great that everyone will go along with the side providing justice to them, even if the leader of the side of 'justice' announces that he is god.

1 Corinthians 10:31: "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. "

So vote to the glory of God or don't vote to the glory of God. But live within your conscience and allow others the same courtesy.

I always supported Trump, mainly for Pro-Life reasons etc, and it's thanks to him Roe v Wade ended.

But if at all we successfully get to 2024 without the possible nuclear war now looming over us, Trump would be good for another reason - his Raeganite Peace through Strength which would deter Russia and Commie China.

I only brought that up because someone repeatedly questioned my intelligence. Without, you know, having any basis for doing so.

And if we see brothers and sisters fulfilling prophesy that can/will lead to their turning away from the Truth, just let them do it.

OK you got it.

I understand your logic but I believe your premise is overstated. I don't believe a singular vote, while it may fulfill prophesy, necessarily causes someone to turn away from truth.
Are you suggesting that everyone who votes engages in sin?

And sure enough, the END OF THE AGE and the return of Christ will occur ON SCHEDULE, regardless of all the Eschatalogical foolishness and constant confusion.

And WHEN HE COMES, those of us who are Born Again of the Spirit, will simply respond properly, and the only ones who will be "Lost" are the ones who were never "IN" the "Flock" to begin with. You DO recall that the "Visible Church is a MIXTURE of "Wheat and Tares" don't you??

It's not the voting. I support voting, I just don't believe that voting for the lesser sin is a valid excuse for exercising. We just don't have a Godly moral candidate to vote for. I mean, we get to choose between:

Immorality
Enablement
Abdication of personal responsibility (which includes abortion)
Poly theism or atheism

or

Mammon worship
Self Idolatry
abandonment of the poor and sick
Cheating workers
lies and hypocrisy.

You can't tell me God supports either of these lists.

So neither should we.
