anyway that was a little off topic. i just pray that you will look to the bible for more answers instead of human written laws of how things work. and please understand that the only reason i am continuing this debate is becausei care about you and dont want you to beleive something that is false
 
and to answer your question i would have to say you are right about one thing, that you cant help that feeling in you get when you meet your significant other. that is natural. but if it is a member of the same sex and you get that feeling than it is a sickness and the only one who can hea lit is jesus. sickness is placed in this world by satan
 
Well Tlite, i will try to answer your questions. No, but i don't think homosexuality is a sin. Would he have people of the same sex fall in love? Yeah, many gay people fall in love. Do i think god wants you to be gay? yes, just like he wanted you to have the hair color you have. And no, your feelings of convictions are in your imagination, they come from the people around you telling you its wrong.
 
Well your opinion is noted. I see that you have accepted homosexuality as inevitable and that's your prerogative. I however am going to pray for the strength to resist these sinful urges. One last question for you. Have you struggled with Homosexuality in any way?
 
justin, how can we be making this up? it is plainly stated in the bible that it is in fact a sin and if you profess to following christ and his word then why would you just act like this issue is non-existant
 
No, i don't think you're making that up. I understand why you feel the way you do about homosexuality. I know i can't change your mind, my goal was to try to let Tlite know a little more with what he might have to deal with
 
Justin I don't understand exactly why you say something which could undoubtedly lead me down a path of destruction and then when someone calls you out on it, you take it back only to do it again in your next post. I'm sorry but I don't believe you have a good grasp on what is Biblical in reference to this topic. I'm not meaning to embarrass you but you haven't relented in these secular views. There is not a whole lot else to say here. I do appreciate your attempt to help but maybe prayer before giving help would be better than leaning on your own strength.

I appreciate your faith my friend. Even when this person threw all of this mess at you you kept the faith, and don't give up.

Know that he who begins our faith will finish it, because he is the author and finisher of our faith. Be sure that as long as you keep focused on Jesus he will certainly bring you out of this. And your faith is not as weak as you supposed, because you stood up against this temptation to bring you back into sin.

Yes, some people have cut off their ears from the Truth as they accept sin, but the end of that way is death. But you have an advocate with the Father. Cry out to him and go to him in faith and prayer. These things are subtle, as Satan doesn't tempt us with things we hate, but things we lust after in our hearts. Our desires have to be righteousness and holiness, even as our Father is holy. So we have to remain humble and not harden our hearts.

if God wanted him to like guys he'd of made him a girl.

God apposess homosexuallity. he makes that very clear. Why would he not try and help him get rid of the little lust problem if he thinks its wrong? ... and all this stuff about accepting yourself... would you accept yourself if you had thoughts of aints crawling around in your brain at night and biteing u? no u would go get help rite? arnt there just a few things in life that arnt just ok to accept?

the bible says that the heart of man is wicked to begin with if we just gave way to any old thought that popped into our head most of us would have a few less family members and be dead ourselves!

so there... there is the short version of my opinion.

You forgot a part of your story.

But whoever has sinned, God is faithful and just to forgive those sins. Jesus will forgive and take away those desires.

okk... so ik i just posted but i was just reading sum more stuff and just thought id say something.... as i was reading this i was just going wow... there are clearly 2 different ppl in the world here.... 1 is the kind that believes in God and believes that he is God and that he wouldn’t lie to us and his word is correct and none of it is negationable... the other is the type that believes there is a God but all he wants is for you to be happy with yourself and his word.. well.... you know.... weell take some of the love stuff... but all that stuff about wrong or right.... i dont like that. it makes me feel bad so its going bye bye.... well God is a loveing God, he does whant the best for us.... BUT sometime the best thing for us, and the most loveing thing is to set up a few boundaries... you know... like okk so drugs. yes hey drugs they make you feel SOOOO soo so good... when your on them... but when you get off... your in hell. so knowing what its like to be on drugs then getting off of them what would you tell sum1 that has never taken them b4? DONT USE THEM rite? you love them and dont want them to go through all the pain so you tell them not to... soo yes God is a loving God that wants the best for us... but not always in the way we may want him to at the time. being Gay is wrong and it is not something God wants for us. he says it in his word and if you stray from it well... your going to have a pretty big problem when you die...

this boy is trying to do what is right according to his God.... most of you say it is your God too... but let me say this... next time you attach your theory to a God make shore he is atleast for it cuz ik fer sure that this God, the one true God, isnt for homosexuality.... capeash?

I hope that TLite does find happiness however he chooses to do so, and hope at least he takes my view point in consideration, which i'm sure he will not and figure out what is right on his own time. But as far as "if God wanted him to like guys he'd of made him a girl" goes, I think there is more to someone's identity than the person they love. If God have made TLite a girl, then he would be a completely different person that God didn't want him to be.

isnt he suposed to take the opinion of God into consideration first? if some1 is throwing that out the window... y shoud he? and i was just kinda saying that in a joking maner. girls can be gay too so yeah...

I'm not saying i think homosexuality is against God's wishes and he should ignore that. I am saying I think the idea that Homosexuality is wrong, is wrong and does more damage then the act itself. So if he does take my opinion into consideration he would not be going against god's opinion.
 
If everyone is made in Gods image and he loves everyone, if you're a strong Christian, accept God as your lord and saviour, then why should it matter who you love? You may interpret the Bible as you will, but keep in mind, historically, the Bible was a book of laws for society back then, not just the word of our Lord. Who are we to say that it's wrong to love someone of the same gender, who can hold a meaningful relationship, still as children of the Lord, strong Christians, with the same strong love, if not stronger than that of a heterosexual couple?
 
just to chuck in an opinion of someone who has/still does struggle with having gay feelings,

first off it not your fault that you feel this way! the world we live in promotes being gay and it is easy to feel insecure and confused. secondly lifes not fair and every one get given struggles, (the bible says you will never be faced by and issue you can not over come) sadly being gay is a hard one and it seems to affect people real young (for me 13). stand up for whats right and believe in god!

secondly god doesn't do hand outs (hate to burst peoples bubble) if you pray for healing god rarely flicks a switch and its all better (people who beleve this are crazy in the head) god offers help and ways to help you out BUT it always require some hard work and commitment. when you hear his voice do as he says, for me one thing i needed to change was masturbating i thought it was harmless fun but its was the fuel to the fire (i still struggle on and off)

finally (this is subjective but) attraction means NOTHING i believe i will alway be attracted to guys and so what. this has no bearing on how my marriage with a woman will be! face it people get marred then fat then old and the attraction is there, it the LOVE for one another! THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOVE AND LUST

WHAT EVER YOU DO GET HELP! you cant do this on your own talk to christian council and work out practical things that will help you! GOD WILL LEAD YOU TO BE HEALED BUT HE WONT FIX YOU! this is what i wish i knew because i didn't start healing till i stepped out my and faced it my self.

i advise people who have(or have not) experienced god healing to not build false hope of some sort of magic quick fix because it is not a reality.(and yes i did spend 5 years in faith believing god would heal my feelings...... it never happens)
 
Such bigotry, attraction and love to the same sex is natural, and if you feel that way you cannot change it. God made us who we are and it's a SIN to try and change ourselves. If we're made in his image, and God loves everyone, then He sees no boundaries in the world of love.
