The verse of the day in the YouVersion bible is about anxiety. I don't know about you, but I can use all the help I can get when it comes to this particular, often self inflicted, burden….

Anxiety in the heart weighs me down, causing my spirit to curdle and frown.

Anxious, over-stimulated with internal chatter…
I need to redirect to what really matters.

I am grateful for His guidance back to quieter reflections, where I don't obsess on life's imperfections.

Oh Lord, I thank You, time and time again in Your domain, Your countenance reigns.

I choose Your embrace to alter my estate, and release the encumbering thoughts, no longer are they the dominant bait.

With You…

O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
Psalm 131:1‭-‬2 ESV

Ahhhh…deep breath of Yaweh!!!

Phil 4 is helpful too, thank You!!!!

This is the picture of Him in the picture frame of my mind, it keeps the adversary from bringing in the needless worries he would have me burdened with, do you have pictures of Jesus around? I hope you do, I know He guides my to glance at them to bring me back to His peace.

so much will change when we get away from the prince of darkness realm here.
I have read accounts of those who have NDE's , there are none of those little nagging thoughts on the other side, and they return when the nde ends and the person comes back to their bodies here.:):coffee:

Matthew 6:25-34 is always a great comfort for me

Do Not Worry
25“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27Which of you by worrying can add one [j]cubit to his [k]stature?

28“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not[l]arrayed like one of these. 30Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

I have found the book of Habakkuk to be of great help. Habakkuk goes from questioning and complaining in chapter 1 to listening and learning in chapter 2 to praying and praising in chapter 3. And his situation didn't improve but worsened.
What led to his transformation?
I have also found it helpful to remind myself of 1 Peter 5:7. Too often we cast our cares upon God only to reel them back in. He cares for us. This care is not only heartfelt but actual. That's what Psalm 23 is all about.
It is possible to have such care from our Shepherd that we are completely satisfied in His provision. Ultimately this is what Habakkuk learned...the just shall walk by faith.
Will keep you in prayer.

Anxiety and worry are what happen when you can't control something, but you keep trying to figure out how to control it anyway.

At this time I would like to say how good I am at letting go of things I can't change. I'd really, really like to say that, but I can't honestly say it. (I'm better at it than I used to be though... although that's not saying much.)

I have dealt with anxiety off and on for the last 3-4 yr.s . PTSD had played its roll on my mind and heart. But definitely God is changing my outlook and learning to be content. I don't have to know everything, but have to daily put everything in his hands.Plus figure part of menopause is anxiety . Thing is I don't have to keep any part of it , God is healing me from all things That cause me to fret and worry. I can only please God daily and I am ok with that hugssss!

I used to know someone in a chat room long ago who said "Hugs to you."

This is off topic, and frankly none of my business, but... What country are you in?
