Well, I guess this only proves that people show different faces depending on the venue.
I definitely don't think it's always intentional though. It's often the fact that different venues have different limitations and opportunities.
No one could know Lynx offers to give people rides, even if it's hours away in rush hour city traffic, because it's not part of posting on a worldwide forum discussion.
I only know these things about him because I've known him for years across several platforms.
Years ago someone also made the comment that Lynx is just nice to me because I'm a girl.
Sorry, but nope. I've seen him offer all the same things to both men and women. We were once in a chat where he sent anyone who asked 2 loaves of his infamous sourdough bread, all at his own expense, when postage alone was $24 a pop -- and that's not even starting on counting the cost of supplies.
At least 3 men in that group came back and raved about that bread. He does the same with phones and laptops too, sending them to people he thinks can use them.
And he's helped just many men as women with tech support. If they were still on the site, I'm sure they would testify to this.
Smaller chats allow people to get to know each other better and build enough trust over the years to share addresses so we can send each other things.
And I don't think people realize that because Lynx and I both have very strong personalities, we have just as fierce of arguments as well.
We often see things differently and disagree on which approach to take, but somehow, when the smoke clears, we still manage to be friends.
It has to be the grace of God.
