We've discussed this issue with our children, homosexuality and such moreso than these faux weddings. We have Bible study every night. Some youths from the community have started coming to our house for a Bible study, and we've addressed this topic. It hasn't driven them all off, in spite of being different from what they hear on TikTok, other media, and people at school.

When my daughters started going to school in the US instead of overseas, they were aghast at both the awful behavior and all the gay junk a lot of the kids were saying. A lot of kids now identify as 'bi'. Maybe they want to be told they are brave. It's a very sick agenda much of the government and the media are pushing on the kids, and it encourages some kids to really mess up their souls and psyches with experimentation that they probably would not have engaged in if they lived in the already-too-libertine culture I grew up in in the 1980's.

That's one of many reasons why some choose homeschooling with christian curriculum. Their children are protected from those who don't reflect your values.

Many of these comments are said by those who profess to be Christians. Is it true, and is it biblical? Are these responses in line with what God said?

If you love them, tell them the truth. Search out God's word.....the answer to all things is there. God is rich in mercy and abundant in grace or we all would perish.
In prayer God will reveal all things to you. I will pray for you as well. Love your neighbor as yourself and love God with all your heart. That's all that's required of you. Peace to you all!

Because homosexuals aren't one size fits all neither are responses to what you would say to a child who thought they were.
sin is sin, and all sin produces the same end result without Christ. A child is just that undeveloped cognitively. God expects the parents to train them up in the truth of God's word. TEACH THE CHILD not to believe a lie from the pit of hell.

I meant to post this yesterday, but I got busy, and I forgot to.

So, yesterday morning at work, I approached this young guy that I work with (I'm guessing that he's in his mid to late twenties), and I asked him if he ever served in the Military. I asked him this question because I had seen him wearing some sort of Veteran t-shirt once before and because I worked with our nation's Veterans for 16 years in the past.

His answer?

"No, I was never in the Military, BUT MY HUSBAND IS."

Well, alrighty then.

He seems like the type of person who would report me and get me fired if I attempt to share the gospel with him, but I'm hoping that God will soften his heart as I begin to pray for him.

His name is Jordan...in case anybody here wants to pray for him as well.

I would not raise my children to be "gay".
That's not given as an option in the meme, but mine is one option and the right option according to God's Word.
I did. My two children are two of the happiest people on the planet. However, I would not raise my children to be homosexual.

Just a quick note if it helps. The reason anyone becomes a homosexual or a lesbian is due to the parents. Note I did not say gay because research shows that the last thing a homosexual is, is gay. It is a question of identity. Every child is not born with an identity. He/she gets one from his environment. Acceptance is such a large part of a child's life. If that is missing, they are going to try and get it elsewhere.

I will give you an example. I had a mid-20-year-old who came to my support group. He was the middle son of three. When their father came home from work, he gave his eldest son a hug. He gave his youngest son a hug. The middle son didn't get anything. Message - My dad doesn't love me. No surprise when he met a homosexual at college who did love him their way, his brain computed homosexuality = acceptance=love.

I had another teenager who was homosexual. His Dad was very harsh and cold towards him. He too found his identity in homosexuality. His pasture referred him to me and we met every Friday in a cafe after work. He talked and I listened. He discovered everything that he thought about himself was not true. The next thing I knew was that he was getting married.

The Gaystapo claims you are born homosexual. No one is born homosexual. If your parents do not give you an identity that gives the feeling of acceptance. you will look elsewhere. Homosexuality is just one area.

A person who is promiscuous with the opposite sex is looking for an identity and is no different from a person who is homosexual.

No, they worked that out for themselves.

Another pointer is that we were not helicopter parents. First, they never went home to an empty house. Very important. Second, particularly with my son, He had only one thing on his mind when he came home from school and that was food. He didn't wait to be waited on. He went straight to the kitchen and got what he wanted to eat. We got a special treat for him for his 16th birthday. We left the fridge door open all day.

I agree with your attitude and commend you for talking to your child. Many parents leave those talks for someone from the world to handle.
Not to nitpick, I just thought that you being a student of the Word would like to know, like someone shared with me. We've both heard preachers use this phrase, but there's a reason they never cited us the reference. It's because it's not in the Bible. It was a phrase made popular by a famous sodomite named Mahatma Gandhi . Preachers have repeated it so much that we have come to assume that it's Scripture. I'm only bringing it up because I knew that you'd want to know too. 🙂👍
So, does that mean you "hate the sinner as well as hate the sin"?

Can you tell me where that verse is?
I want to make sure it's Biblical, because there are many passages of God hating certain sinners. It would be beyond simple arrogance for me to think myself holier than my Father.

As to parental love for their own children, I cast no guilt upon them. I expect them to love their children as that is only natural.
Why this issue has grown like wildfire in churches and society points to the depravity of cultural norms and pastors.

The Bible also says, 'Bad company corrupts good morals.' Jesus was a physician to the sick. I believe he spent time with sinners to lead them to repentance, not to have them as close friends, to get advice from them, etc.

That verse isn't in the Bible, but what the Bible does say is in Romans where it says while we were sinners Christ died for us. Christ is to be our role model, and He loved sinners so much that He died for them. To me that says I am to love sinners too. But I am also told often I am a hippy dippy chickie, so eh...that's just me.

Mahatma Gandhi was a wicked bisexual sodomite that led others away from Christ.
There are so many preachers and RC priests that quote that phase like it were John 3:16 that others think it was inspired of God.

I was hoping that the new gentleman would do a little bit of work by digging up the answer for himself. If I spoon feed my detractors every time they troll or want to argue, they will NEVER learn a thing.
Jesus went as far as to hide His truth from those who did not desire it.

Christ is to be our role model, and He loved sinners so much that He died for them. To me that says I am to love sinners too. That is true. He didn't tell us to clean up our lives and somehow become sinless to be acceptable. In spite of our awful sins, He paid the punishment, the torment for them all. Taking the Bible as a whole, we see that God does not rain fire and brimstone upon cities whose people He loves. Judgement to hell is not an expression of love so what happened? We know the verse you quoted.and many more expressions of love.

Sodom, Gomorrah, and other cities were full of people who hardened their heart against God, like Pharaoh. They did not want to think about Him. They decided to be arrogant and eventually God gave up on them, giving them over to a reprobate mind. Romans chapter 1.

Jesus came not to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved, John 3:17.

That does not mean that He will not ever judge mankind. That wasn't His mission while upon the Earth, however, He pointed out how He would judge, even using cities like Sodom as examples and warnings to others. Every child enters this world with the live of God for them. When they have opportunities as adults as free will offers, they can choose Him or reject Him. Gandhi rejected our God and turned many from His Son. God in turn rejected Gandhi and turned him over to a reprobate mind. So, does He still love Gandhi?
