Liz Cheney went down in flames last night to a Trump backed candidate. She even hauled out her old father to try and push her over the line. Last I saw she has 30% or so of the vote. She can sit on her Jan 6 committee and rotate. smh Good enough for her, can only hope that's the last of her.

Heard this morning she might try and make a run at the presidency in 2024. She won't even come close to getting through the primary process on the republican ticket. Maybe now she'll be honest and change party instead of trying to destroy ours.

I saw that Steve Bannon's War room pandemic was playing this song today.

What is that all about? I know that Cheney is from the East (Virginia I think is where she has lived her whole life even though she represents Wyoming, for a while yet) but What about the wicked witch of the West?

Who is this "wicked witch of the West" that you are referring to?
Very judgmental. With what judgement you judge you shall be judged.

Watch the video, in the Wizard of Oz there are two wicked witches, when Dorothy lands in Oz her house kills the wicked witch of the East, but then the movie is about how she battles the wicked witch of the West.

Sorry, I assumed people were familiar with this movie.

Steve Bannon was showing this clip to celebrate Cheney's loss in the primary in Wyoming. Since he was likening her to "the wicked witch of the East" not unreasonable since that is where she is from, I asked this question because it is not clear, but certainly very relevant to this allegory.

Since people aren't familiar, this movie is about a populist movement many years ago, it is very political, and has often been alluded to in political discussions.

AS your post is judgmental .
Nancy Pelosi would be my guess. I am not worried about being judged as i am judging her. I do not cheat people , insider trading , support the killing of the unborn, there are more.
While speaking of judgement this is also a scripture which has as much value .

Joh_7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

The Wizard of Oz

https://www.enotes.com/topics/wonderful-wizard/themes

Although Baum intended his story as an entertainment for children, it also contains a good deal of social satire offered with a gently mocking sense of humor. The gap between appearance and reality is a persistent theme in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and in many of Baum’s other books. The centerpiece of the book is the journey to the Emerald City, home of the great Wizard who can grant all wishes. Once the main characters reach the city, though, they find that it is all an illusion and that the Wizard himself is a fraud. They themselves are capable of all the real magic.

Self-Sufficiency
The predominant theme of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is self-sufficiency. The Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion all seek external magic to give them qualities they already possess but fail to recognize.

Dorothy’s situation is somewhat different because she needs a magical object (the silver shoes) to help her get back home to Kansas. Still, she fails to understand that she has had what she needs all along while continuing to seek it from others. Another important point about the silver shoes is that Dorothy earned them by killing the Wicked Witch of the East. While she did so unintentionally, her actions resulted in the freedom of the Munchkins, which in turn resulted in her being given the magical shoes that will allow her to get home. She was not given a way home simply because she asked for one; she was given a way home because she improved the lives of the Munchkins.

Baum also demonstrates that there are cases in which a person is not entirely good or evil, as in the character of the Wizard of Oz. As the Wizard admits to Dorothy, he is not a bad man, just a bad wizard. Although Dorothy deeply disapproves of his willingness to deceive people, she forgives him because she realizes that he is not truly evil. Baum teaches young readers that it is not possible to label real people good or evil because in reality, everybody has a little of both in them.

I think we can see some parallels with the populist movement today.

Acts 23:5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

Again, if she has broken laws, and we do have laws against insider trading, then let her be charged, prosecuted and convicted. It is foolish to speak evil of a ruler of the people.

Clearly, there's a difference between high priest of the Jerusalem Temple and Liz Cheney...to attempt comparison is meritless.

It is foolish to speak ill of rulers of your people.

Assume every terrible and evil thing you have ever heard about the US government is true and that our government is as evil as the government at the time that Paul was here in Acts, defending himself in a Roman court of law.

Well if 100 people who were close to Clinton end up committing "suicide" do you really think they would hesitate with you? If they will put grandmothers taking selfies at the capitol in jail for 9 years you think they would hesitate with you? If 9/11 is an inside job then there is a whole lot at stake here, so no, they are not going to hesitate. They will even raid the house of an ex president who is extremely popular.

Obviously if the person is not evil it is wrong to say they are, but if they are evil it is foolish to say they are while they are still in power.

It takes a real pro to "drain the swamp" and I am not referring to Trump, or Q. I am referring to Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of kings.

I view this forum as a training ground for wielding the sword of the Spirit and the the first thing you have to do is put on the whole armor of God. Before you can even think of going on offense you need to be really well prepared for defense. They have 87,000 armed IRS agents, this is not to go after Elon Musk or Bill Gates.

As an aside, what Christ could speak - being our High Priest and their superior is shown in Acts to be something that we cannot do, and even Christ used kid gloves when engaging the Sanhedrin. However today, with the destruction of the Temple, also a thought process no longer valid. Sans any high priest, there's no high priest to insult by speaking the truth.

So you are comfortable with judging someone who is your political opponent as a "wicked witch"? As a Christian, I find that to be far from righteous judgement and not rooted in God's Word or His Love at all. Obviously you believe very differently from me.

Temple of the People: Washington’s Capitol

https://www.pilotguides.com/articles/temple-of-the-people-washingtons-capitol/

She (Nancy Pelosi is the one that was called a witch and the one that I said was a ruler of the people that you shouldn't speak evil of) is speaker of the house which is called "the temple of the people" and she supports child sacrifice to Moloch and Baal, so why would you assume she isn't a priestess?

A witch is a priestess of satanic worship, so calling a person a witch and then denying that they are a priestess doesn't make sense.

I don't compare her to a high priest of my God, as some here seem want to do. Ananias was a legitimate priest of our God. I'll never compare Liz Cheney and her treatment to the proper treatment of a High Priest of my God.

She's a two faced politician who can't manage to do her job - and that's to be representative of her constituency. Not a High Priest anointed.

Nancy Pelosi is not your political opponent? So she and you are political allies? Could have fooled me... I don't think you understand what righteous judgement is. And we are not equal if you are a female, but I guess you are one of these non-gender-binary types or whatever who thinks we are.

How was the high priest that ordered Paul to be struck "a high priest of my God". Jesus is God, they rejected Him, they crucified Him and they wanted to kill anyone who preached Him.
