Seeing as how dishonesty is an acceptable practice within the FBI, the DOJ,
the CIA, the FDA, the NIH, the CDC, top levels of State and Federal
governments, and the Police, then I think we have to concede that folks who
prefer same-sex relationships should be condoned too because both
dishonesty and sexual perversion are equally hell-worthy, viz: to condemn
one while accommodating the other would be a double standard.

This topic has attracted comments that have no resemblance to reality. I guess it is because the people making the comments have no real knowledge or experience of the topic, they are just giving us the benefit of their thought bubbles. The end result is a mumbo jumbo of ideas that do not stack up. I am sure you are well-meaning but it does not mean that you are an authority on the subject.
So I will take the opportunity to set things straight.
Homosexuals are not gay. Sufficient research has been done that shows homosexuals are far from gay. One researcher who followed 200 homosexuals over a period of two years said they are some of the unhappiest people he has ever met. My own experience working with them bears this out.
A homosexual orientation is not the same as being homosexual.
Most people are not responsible for their homosexual orientation. It comes about because of their lack of identity, which is not their fault. Acting on it is their choice.
Having an orientation will not send you to hell. Acting on it will.
Most homosexuals act on their lack of identity because they think being homosexual will give them the identity they are looking for.
You can have an orientation and call yourself a Christian because having an orientation is not a sin. It is when you act upon it that it becomes a sin.
Like every other sin, the sin of homosexuality can be forgiven.
And most important of all anyone can be set free from homosexuality if that is what they want.

Well,
songs take on different meanings from what the originator wrote about. "YOU light up my life " was a song written by Debie Boone about the Lord yet the movie made had nothing to do with the Lord.
I think legalism makes God seem unreasonable. God doesn't send people to hell for listening to a song. People go to hell for rejecting HIS SON.
Fornication wasn't necessarily a death penalty crime. It could be if the female fornicator allowed herself to be married off as a virgin. If the female involved in the act were betrothed, participants were to be executed just like adulterers.
Both men who lay with men and adulterers were to be put to death in the Old Testament, but the penalty was the same, death, so they are the same in regard to the penalty.
But men having sex with men is disgusting/repulsive/ and an abomination. The Old Testament did not give a specific penalty for woman-woman sex, but Romans 1 seems to imply that it is a morally bad thing.
The disgust for homosexual behavior is probably automatic in a lot of people, at least in men about male homosexuality. This is probably what a lot of LGBT activists mean by the term 'homophobia.' But this is a normal thing, and if someone doesn't have disgust at such activity, they should cultivate the disgust and have it. A lot of propaganda has gone into trying to do away with the disgust in the younger generation and society at large.
So men having sex with men is worse than fornication in that it is repulsive/disgusting/an abomination. God finds cross dressing to be an abomination also. Male-female sexual desire can find a sanctified outlet in marriage. The same-sex type of lust-- whether acted on or not-- came into mankind because of idolatry and rejecting God.
The issue I am addressing is that outside of Fundamentalist thinking and maybe some baby boomers, 'homosexual' means some kind of 'orientation' to be attracted to me. I disagree with that 'orientation' theory, but I do know some men can be attracted to men and women to women. That much aligns with reality. Making that out to be one's identity is wrong-headed.
But when the preacher preaches, 'Homosexuals go to Hell', the person who can be attracted to the same sex may understand that to mean, 'Because you are attracted to the same sex, you are going to Hell.' That is not right. One can be a Christian and be tempted-- even by something disgusting-- and not yield to the temptation. Being tempted is not a sin.

in one called "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" wherein two gay men are
reunited after many years of separation since they were very young.
It made me realize that for many, it isn't merely a lifestyle. The relationships
of some are just as emotionally effected as any straight relationship.
For you it probably is a sin to listen, but for others maybe not. I suggest
letting the 14th chapter of Romans be your guide. Its focus is mainly upon
diets and holy days, but the principles therein apply to most any gray area,
viz: debatable issues.

Are you sure about that? Two men could not marry each other in 1975 (as the lyric "altar
bound" would suggest). Also, Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics, and he was not a homosexual.
“Prima Donna lord” “dominating queen” sung by a gay man makes me believe it’s about a gay couple but your point is well taken.
The word of God teaches us to Guard our hearts

23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
To get to your heart, the devil foes through the mind. That is why we must renew it by the word of God.
How is it that so many professing Christians have different opinions on homosexuality, gay marriage, and transgender?
The issue is not the issue.
1. chritians have gay children and therefore compromise the word of God because of the family member
2. many of them secretly battle sexual Idolatry
3. have no biblical understanding
4. says the love of God accepts all sin at the expense of HIS Holiness.
5. false teachers
6. Divorce and breaking down of the family
7. Losing a generation
We have embraced fire and thought we would not get burnt. We were silent when we should have stood against it. WE compromised the word of God because of family. We did not seek God to effectively battle this condition.
We laughed at the movies, songs, and parades and voted for laws that took us to where we are.
What has this sin dragged us to?
- transgender chuildren
- puberty blockers
- removal of parental rights
- promotion of child mutilation
This is evil in the sight of God. No different than sacrificing a child to Baal and Moloch. We are not all standing against it why?
Because we have children who are bound by those sins, and we do not have faith to believe God can set them free, or we have issues of sexual sin in our private life those outside the church don't know about. Can't beat them. Join them.
God is not Mocked. Those who come to HIM MUST Believe that HE IS and reward them that diligently seek him.
I have had struggles with sexual addiction that came from my youth and amplified in my military service. BUT GOD has set me free. Am I tempted? Yes, is it a sin to be tempted? No, only if you are a willful participant. They devil going to tempt you !
It's his MO. The devil does everything he can to keep you from being saved then; once you are saved, he tries to make you ineffective for the Kingdom of God, so he will attack your children, wife, husband, job, health, etc.. the devil is a relentless foe. The devil doesn't sleep nor slumbers.
BUT Greater is HE in you than he that is in the world.
We must cry out to The Lord to renew our minds, stop being lazy chritians, and open up our bible, pray, and seek God lift up your children every day. They are sheep for the killing. He the devil can't get to you; he will get at the thing close to you.
We are in a real war, people. We have not yet begun to fight. We are overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our Testimony. God is still saving homosexuals and transforming their lives. God is still breaking addictions and giving chritians victory over fleshly struggles.
Call on the name of the Lord, and you shall be saved. Then surrender your life, submit to his word, separate yourself from the world, and be discipled by the Holy Spirit. Through the word of God, have your minds changed and be strong in the Lord and the POWER of HIS Might, not ours.

well, there is no gay marriage as far as God is concerned, so it is two men in a relationship as many have BEFORE THEY CLAIM TO BE MARRIED

The battles are real. I’m currently in a war with two battlefronts, one of the heart and one of the flesh, thankfully it has nothing to do with homosexuality. I take comfort knowing God is at my side while fighting the good fight; His love, grace and presence strengthen me. I pray he meets you today and always should any attack come your way.
