I think having ppl constantly stand by to pray, or do bible trivia, or do a sermon would be draining? Who would be on the computer 24/7 to do this? Or would there be a roster?
Hey Ruby, how'd things go for you with the lease? It goes slow then picks up again. I have noticed in winter it seems busier.
I've been staying busy with rest. Working on hobbies, and getting sleep. I got some other things I need to work on, but I'm at a stand still currently.
well. there are prayer hotlines (never rung any, but they are there)i thought I made it clear that this is wishful thinking on my part. Secondly you would need a staff of people to make this idea of mine to work. That way people could rotate in shifts. Third, they have been playing sermons, not giving sermons. But giving one would be cool if someone could pull it off.
Hey Ruby, how'd things go for you with the lease?
Hi Tony, thank you for asking.
I just found out tonight that they are happy for me to stay on so praise God I dont have to move in this horrible weather.,
They are letting me stay with no official contract so I dont know how long it will be for but God does so I have to just leave it up to him.
Absolutely no rentals here, it is incredible. I have never seen it like this before.
How about you, I think you mentioned your landlord was selling. Is that correct?
That gives you some space to breathe Ruby, praise God, as you say. We'll keep praying for you.
The rental situation over here is the same, very little if any available. Some are advocating the cost of rentals will have gone up by around 10% by the end of this year. I'm paying $385pw now, I suspect that will climb to $400 or more when and if my lease renews at the end of November.
I think I'll be still OK here though. The owners aren't selling here, but the husband will be retiring at the end of 2023 and they will be taking up residence then. I suspect they will extend my lease because they are happy to keep dealing with the same tenant until they move in.
The next door neighbour has commented that he might be offering to rent his new home to me soon. My sister has also offered me a room in her home to use as a base if I want to do some caravanning in Oz or travel overseas. So I've got options, which I am very grateful for.
I do hope that things continue to smooth out for you. Shalom![]()
Not terrible today. Decent day at work, about to hit the gym.G'day guys, how's your day been?
Mine's been pretty laid back...gym in the morning, cafe for coffee, a wee bit of shopping, put up a solar security light on the shed, more shopping, more coffee, now winding down. Cat needs to be fed soon, then to cook up something for myself for dinner. All the while grateful for God's blessing, and hoping I can pay Him back in some way by doing good.
I hope you have had a good one. Feel free to describe yours please, for other than the times I get to chat with the Father, mine can be a bit mundane. Shalom, Tony![]()
That's why they invented water gunsA nice lazy day, relaxing bath sounds kinda nice doesn't it? Lol.. not in the cards for me today though.
After starting some medicine yesterday I can breathe so much better today, it's nice.
I'll probably make a tuna casserole, quick and easy... And of course sweep and mop the kitchen.
My cat won't leave me alone.. she wants treats and has decided to bother me until I cave in...
A boat? Nice. Just don't take 6 other people with you in the middle of a tropical storm. My wee boat. Paid $2400 aud for it, spent a few hundred more on it since. I can't get her up onto the plane unless I was going down a waterfall, so I either had to lose a heap of weight or sit further forward. Decided that sitting further forward is the easier option. I found an old mop handle with a flexible head so I've fixed it to the tiller handle for extra length that will help me get the centre of gravity happening better. I've replaced the zip ties with three stainless ubolts for strength. Looks a bit crass, but should help.
