Don't go into the water! Wait, no. That was Jaws.
Oh, trust me, it works for piranha too. 😁

The more I look at this guy I tend to think he's adorable.

The under bite and the bug eyes make it really funny.
More like an, 'awwww' reaction. Not a, 'Oh my gosh, run for your lives! It just ate Jeff!'

White Hair
One day, a little girl is sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly notices that her mother has several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast to her brunette hair. She looks at her mother and inquisitively asks: “Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?”

Her mother replied: “Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.”
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then asked: “Mommu, how come all of grandma’s hairs are white?”

I love that guy.😂
Lol!

Have you ever heard his buddy Cassidy Campbell?
He does a bunch of pranks and sometimes teams up with Alex Stein. Language warning on his channel though. He has old videos that are a little rough. He made a profession of faith recently. This one, he's White Boi. Lol!
Just the first scene at the gun shop. Under 2 minutes.

The Book of Mormon.🤔😆

Curious though. Is there a verse that states expressly, repent of your sins? You'd think so.
As many preachers as I heard use that phrase, you'd think they were quoting Scripture.
Like you, I heard that all of my life from Catholics, Protestants, many Evangelicals and some Baptists.

Repentance is a long study, but we'll worth the time. Those ministers owe it to the people to study to show themselves approved and to teach the right gospel... Galatians 1

Back at the University, I had a campus pastor who taught works salvation. He taught that salvation required faith in Christ PLUS changing your way of life/ turning from all your sins/ repent of your sins...basic Works"salvation.'

He gave me his sermon notes for proof.
I went the extra mile and studied every use of the terms repent and repentance as it pertains to eternal salvation. Every use of the term repent that HE used for "proof texts" either...
1. Applied to those already saved, having the gift of eternal life OR
2. He added to the word Repent the words "of your sins" or read that into the meaning.

The Book of Mormon certainly adds many works required for their salvation. Turning from all sins is just one category of works they add.

But we know that the Bible consistently makes these clear statements.
Titus 3:5
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost..."

Ephesians 2
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

I'm glad that you did a word search.
That's a great start.
Do you see any verses that say, "repent of your sins" to be saved?

Here's another study from someone who invested time in the primary verses that works salvation preachers tell us to do to be saved. I think you'll agree that this is clearly correct if you follow along friend.

Enlighten me. His sermon about repentance is funny?
No, the one that I posted where the pastor is looking through 50 bibles to find that phrase is funny.
The Bible study I posted that followed filled in the details why the short 1 minute clip was funny.
Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you for the explanation. That did clear it up. 😊 I'm glad for these few posts. I had no idea other versions of the Bible after the 1611 version were edited in such a way.
Makes me wonder what other edits are out there.

We don't have the first copies of what has come down to us as scripture today. The autographs. And what was written came 50 to 60 years after Jesus. So really, we may ask, what are we reading?

Ye are saved by grace through faith.
Maybe it's that simple. And the rest is telling us to work to stay in a pattern of behaviors others wrote for us to follow.

Not a single verse says, repent of your sins.

Wow.

I can identify with you. It brought me to tears of gratitude when that truth was discovered.
I was so glad to finally get certain important teachings settled when I picked up my bible and did exhaustive studies on the subject. I realized that the Bereans we're more noble than the good church of Thessalonica because they searched the Scriptures daily to see whether the things Paul taught were true.
