How is it logically consistent? A destiny isn’t an offer, maybe we need to look at it from a different perspective? More questions than answers.
The offer of Salvation is universal, but the application is only : "by Faith".

They were saved because they hunkered down and built a big ark, for animals and 8 people, then they got the ark when the flood came. They obeyed God. Had they not did it then the flood would have swept them all away. This is all recorded in Genesis, I recommend you begin with Genesis 1:1.
No evidence to even remotely suggest God would have built them an ark or that God would have changed His mind on account of insubordinate, obstinate, stubborn people to postpone the flood.

Because depending on the specific task God assigns it either requires physical or mental work or it doesn’t. Here’s an example:
Hebrews 11:1
4By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous when God gave approval to his gifts. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.
But God never requested a sacrifice. Look through Genesis and see that there is no request for Cain and Abel to make a sacrifice. They made the sacrifice in faith, just believing, and God recognized that.
Then there is faith works. Please consider James 2.

Abraham was specifically commanded to put his son on the altar per Genesis 22:9. That’s why Christianity is about relationship. In Christianity there are works of faith and works of action. A work of faith is believing in Christ per John 6:29 and a work of action is water baptism per Mark 16:16.
Christianity is supposed to be natural. Peoplle have a body and they think things and do things. God asks for people to do both for Him whilst sojourning on this Earth because believing and doing things is what everyone does. No additional effort required but to choose our Master and serve.

Seems pretty simple to me. God choose some people and predetermined that Jesus would adopt them as his children. Eph 1.
That’s where the uncertainty begins.

I consider a lot of verses before speaking. How do you reconcile these two verses? Feel free to check context of course. How is predestination a clear theology?
