I'm eating some Dole tinned crushed pineapple :D
I bought a can of this last week along with a can of pineapple rings. My honey is going to bake a pineapple upside down cake this week. I love pineapple, fresh or in a can by Dole. It's the best.

I've found these edible after I throw a bucket of sugar over them. I can't figure how people can eat these raw. Maybe I'm just a wuss.

I kinda count them in the same category of chickpeas. Why would anyone want to chew on road base has got me beat! 😬
I'm not a fan of chickpeas either. I enjoy an occasional can of grapefruit juice (not the Ruby Red kind though) but would not eat just a plain grapefruit.

Hummus can be quite tasty. Use them as a dip for chips or a spread like mayo or avocado. I thought them uninteresting until I tried them that way. Then they got interesting.

Grapefruit? Not exactly my idea of a good time either. But then I'm not as sensitive to sugar so I like orange juice.

Some people get really sensitive to the sugar in oranges....gets to be like drinking syrup for them. So that's why they actually enjoy grapefruit.

Otherwise I'm just a splash of grapefruit juice in a sweet drink is more than enough for me. Or maybe the syrup of grapefruit juice in a vinaigrette for a salad.

There's a use for everything out there....to make it enjoyable even though you don't like it.

It's one of those things that I enjoy trying to do with food as a recovering chef. I've turned my wife's world upside down by getting her to relish all the foods that she never liked before to the point that they now are her favorite foods. (And made her wrinkle her nose at former favorites)

I can't get her to do spicy food. But then neither can I....but that sort of thing desensitizes your ability to taste and smell. And I need my sense of taste for the subtle blends.

So certain things are out.
And I still am not a fan of Cajun food or Indian cuisine. Too complicated and overly spiced for my taste.
A lady on a cooking show over here made chocolate hummus. It was the frosting or topping on healthy donuts that she made. I squirmed when she mentioned it but she said don't knock it till you try it so I am going to give it a go. It was healthy chocolate donuts with chocolate hummus frosting. The male host tried it and he said they were yummy and would not put the thing down.I dont know why she called it a donut it seemed more like a cupcake to me. It was baked in a donut tin much like the muffin tins. It contained no sugar and was flour, yoghurt and mashed banana. The hummus I have not looked up yet so I dont know what the ingredients were.

Forget the hummus but I will take some of those healthy donuts anytime.
