The child video is included in that article. Research it. :) You did not actually take much time with the article I linked to, so do not tell others to research when you missed it. I am not arguing. I prefer facts and that is all I am presenting. The fact is, you thought I did not watch the clip with the child, but I did.

I watched that clip. I would not be satisfied with a video like that, concerning a subject of all encompassing enormity as the shape of this planet. Really.
This is the beginning, middle and end, of what that article says on Aldrin telling the girl they didn't go.

This is hardly the first time that Aldrin’s words have been misrepresented in order to claim that the moon landing was fake. In 2018, a video of Aldrin responding to a question from a child about why NASA stopped sending manned missions to the moon was misconstrued as if Aldrin had admitted that the moon landing was fake.

Their whole cover is that what he said was misconstrued. That's it.

Everybody is an armchair astrophysicist it seems and good thing for youtube or none of us would ever be the wiser

Anyway, I am not wasting anymore of my time in this thread. Y'all can argue about whether the earth is a platter or saucer or beach ball till the cows come home.

It's been done and I am satisfied it's a beach ball more or less.
Why isn't NASA telling you they can't penetrate, and live, through the van Allen radiation belts enough?

No. That is your take on it. Don't talk about research as thought it's one and done. That would be far removed from the truth.

And speaking of done, I am! :giggle::giggle:

For several years, I was on secular forum. A very large number of them were either Atheists or Agnostics. They made fun of Christians for believing the Earth is flat. I was shocked! I was like, who in 2018 believes the Earth is flat? So I started doing some research and was shocked to discover that there are people who believe the Earth is flat, and most of them seemed to be people of faith. Then I just fell out of my chair! Not literally. I mean, goodness, people really are going down the tubes!
Are they falling off the edge of the world tho?

There are no red or blue pills to check a persons perception of reality. That was a movie. I do research. It's kinda my thing actually.

People do the research. If the research they do, is in conflict with what you have done, it becomes fake?

SMH
I am using the red/blue pills reference as an illustration of decision and of being awake and aware - because, almost everyone has seen the movie and understands the concept.

It is a pity when someone who "does research" does not identify with this concept.

It makes me wonder what-exactly-kind of research it is that you are saying you do.

Most people "don't lift a finger" to do any research on the topic(s) being discussed.

I am only trying to encourage people to actually do the research. It is up to them to decide what they believe after having done so.

And I distinctly stated that one article is not research. Let's put it this way. Did you read the Bible once and decide there was nothing else to glean from it?

It's the same with the world around us. I mean to be as honest as possible in this forum, with certain restrictions and all, I cannot gain access to the type of thinking that a person reflects on to conclude the earth is flat.

Not discussing it further. You have my conclusion and you are convinced of yours. I think it's enough. I am waaaaay past the type of back and forth that goes on around here and passes for discussion.

That might make me seem like a snob or self righteous or whatever and you know what? I'm past caring if people think that about me.

I saw the movie. I know what you were referring to.

If you have to ask 'what kind of research' I am referring to, you have understated why I dismiss both yours and PennEd's 'proof' of a flat globe. Yeah, flat globe. Think about that. You are serious in your conclusions and I find them amusing truth be told.

This forum is made up of all kinds of people is my conclusion.

Believe as you will, because, you will. Not my problem. :giggle: This whole argument about the shape of the world is beyond the pale.

Well to be fair, you said you were done already.

Also, just as I originally stated, although the moon landing and flat Earth issues are sometimes conflated, I never said I believed in a flat Earth.

Only that I'd bet my life we didn't go to the moon.

Sure you can - if you are willing to remove the 'brainwash' glasses [blinding you] - so that you can see the truth.

That is what the whole red/blue pill thing is all about.

Well, I think the earth is round, that the moon is also round, though it may be hollow, and I think we probably did go there. I think we didn't go back because they don't want us there. So there! Lol

If you just jump to the 4 minute mark, here are MORE astronauts saying that if we can solve the problem, we can leave earths orbit, and possibly go to the moon, mars and beyond.

How is it possible that these people don't KNOW that we ALREADY solved the problems and went!?

There is no 'globe' in my 'flat'. :giggle:

And, Ed did not say that.

And, the last several of his and my posts (for the most part) are not really even focused on FE; rather, on everything else. (moon landing, 9/11, COVID, etc.)

Just how much of what has been posted are you misconstruing because you feel threatened and have your emotions all stirred up?

Your amusement will turn to amazement when God shows you the truth.

We haven’t even touched on some of the very disturbing other factors in the moon landing debate.

Like how all the names of the programs are gods that are demonic. Apollo, Mercury, Artemis, etc…

Or how many Freemasons were involved .

An excerpt from the article, about 33rd degree Freemason Buzz Aldrin:

Aldrin also carried a handmade silk Masonic flag with him on his space journey, embroidered with the words, “Supreme Council, 33°, Southern Jurisdiction, USA.” After his mission on September 16, 1969, Brother Aldrin visited the House of the Temple in Washington, DC, and presented the flag to Grand Commander Luther Smith. The flag is now located in the archives of the House of the Temple.

@Polar:

When Ed submited post #128 - and, I decided to add my comments "on the subject" - I also very purposely stayed clear of the FE topic while doing so - because, what he was addressing - without FE in the mix - is still important for folks to understand.

I have no intentions of "railroading" anyone with the FE topic.

People may believe whatever they choose.

I am not going to "beat anyone over the head" with what I believe.

This is why I did not include FE in my posts - out of respect for @PennEd (and everyone else) - he and I may not agree on a few things, but we do agree on a great many others.

We are not trying to troll you - we are just putting forth what we believe.

At the end of the day, we are still grateful if you are a born-again Christian - whatever you believe about these topics.

Having said that, I believe it is more important (in a way) - for practical reasons - if people understand the true nature of the world they live in - than what their eschatological beliefs are.

And, when I wrote this, I was actually thinking about all of the non-FE topics...

Fair enough, but this thread is about whether or not the earth is flat, so....

But I think I just referred to your moon landing disagreement? Anyway, not worth the back and forth but I mean that generally

They were probably trolling. Most Christians don't seem to be flat-earthers. So when you went looking for Christian flat-earthers on the Internet you found them. You can also find Christians who are anti-flat earth. You can find pretty much anything on the Internet. It's just confirmation bias. Most atheists aren't looking to represent people of faith fairly. Actually, if an atheist talks a lot about being atheist they are probably a bit militant in their beliefs.
I went on youtube and found a news cast where they interviewed a bunch of people at a flat earth convention. Just about all of them testified as being Christian. They even took time to make whole models of the earth being flat, and round at the same time. It was like a flat pie with a something around it to hold the water in. It was crazy! The News Cast look mainstream too. Look we can argue all day long about who is giving us the proper information.

And I agree with alot of things you say.

When you say 'if' people understand etc, you mean understand it as do you. that's why, pretty much., the back and forth really just eats up time. That's my position and to be sure, I have done my 'due diligence' with the back and forth and I just have had enough of it.

What I was trying to get across here is this:
All our arguing over something that doesn't really matter only gives THEM, the Agnostics and Atheists, more of an excuse for being the way they are... If the world is round, I got to live on it. If the world is flat, I still got to live on it. Does it effect my Salvation to believe one over the other? As far as I can tell, it doesn't.
