Supreme Court 6-3 decision, a school district cannot prohibit a football coach from praying on the field after a game. I always share the wrong news story link with these things. So can someone post the news link. Thanks

Good News. Trump's 3 Justices - and 3 appointed by the Bushes I believe - continue to deliver. Found it via a Google Search:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/su...les-coach-public-school-prayer-case-rcna31662

"The Supreme Court ruled Monday that a former Washington state high school football coach had a right to pray on the field immediately after games.

The 6-3 ruling was a victory for Joseph Kennedy, who claimed that the Bremerton School District violated his religious freedom by telling him he couldn’t pray so publicly after the games. The district said it was trying to avoid the appearance that the school was endorsing a religious point of view.

"Both the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment protect expressions like Mr. Kennedy’s," Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion. "Nor does a proper understanding of the Amendment’s Establishment Clause require the government to single out private religious speech for special disfavor. The Constitution and the best of our traditions counsel mutual respect and tolerance, not censorship and suppression, for religious and nonreligious views alike."

Thank you for sharing that information! They're doing some good work so far. Hope they keep it up.

Praise God. I have taught me children that we do not need the Government to give us permission to pray you pray in school everyday

You pray for the kids from broken homes and being abused, you pray for the sick, and you pray for the teacher who may be going through a divorce. You plead the Blood of Jesus in your classroom and rebuke the devil in Jesus' name YOU don't wait for the SCOTUS to tell you can Pray you to pray without ceasing your very mindset is to be praying.

You are not praying, you are playing and if you are playing you are straying.

The Court's decision is not only a religious victory, but also a free speech
victory.

Hopefully some brave lawyers will use this decision as a tool against the
Wokes, the Progressives, the Socialists, the Marxists, the Biden toadies, and
the China sympathizers to stop them from forcing people to use politically
correct pronouns on penalty of losing their jobs, expulsion from universities,
and/or premature release from the military.

2Ch_7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

So many don't quote that part of that verse.

Within context, the "my people" are Jews, and "their land" is Israel.

God is more or less stuck with the Jews and their land because of a promise
He made to Abraham in Genesis 17:7-8 which says:

" I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants
after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you
and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants
after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an
everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

Well that covenant was conditional Gen 17 Gen 18 Lev 26 Deut 7

1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Not the thread for this discussion no more from me

I would not say God is stuck with anything. Those same people have been judged many times and God has always said HE would restore them IF they would turn away from their idolatries. HIS Mercy endures forever

Regarding the SCOTUS decision; one more victory for God and His peoples.

I take heart in knowing that regardless of how many defeats we may suffer, in the end............

WE WIN!

I know this to be true, because I read the BACK of the BOOK!
