Feel abandoned by God

I wasn't going to respond to your reply, but I really feel compelled to.

I would encourage you to go back and read the book of Job. If you recall, Job had probably the closest relationship of anyone on the planet to God, yet he suffered greatly anyway.

Also, please recall that, although everyone who knew Job was a godly man, his friends accused and convicted him of sin. Even his wife betrayed both Job and God.

So, I think that accusing our brother who created this post of not being close enough to God is a bit trite, don't you think?

Taking all that into consideration, I would not be too eager to dispense unsolicited advice.

In the book of Job satan went to God and said the only reason Job worships is because of what he has......

God gave satan permission to take everything except his life. Would you have prefered it if I advised him to soend more time with humans instead of God??

Only God can give him the wisdom, comfort and advice he needs

That's good advice, but I am pretty sure he already knows that. As someone who has been through a horrific spiritual battle myself, I assure you, the last thing you want is for a well-meaning Christian to tell you the obvious. What you really need is to know that fellow disciples will come alongside you, be there when you need them, and still keep enough distance to let you work through the hardship.

Unfortunately, our church culture does not allow for any of this. We spend one hour together out of a 168-hour week. We sit in a comfortable chair listening to one person speak and go home to our private lives for the other 167 hours. It's no wonder many Christ-followers feel so abandoned.

My supplication to my fellow disciples is instead of offering advice, we should give of our time. That starts with church leaders allowing access to church buildings during the week to gather for personal ministry.

Notice the term, "personal ministry." It means one-on-one discipleship, not group discussions. But again, it probably won't happen until pastors give up control of the church to God once again.

Will it start with YOUR church, under YOUR direction? Is it time for the Canadians to start a spiritual revolution in North America?

That is so true, it is time, i dont know about my church i live almost 3 hours away from it.
