You said exactly, which means you don’t think it’s important. Again, reading comprehension is essential. I’m starting to see why you many not get along with others.

Hmmm here you go assuming things that are not there again, and not just not there but I have even told you exactly what I mean. Interesting. Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ?

This has been answered several times , but does not seem to be noticed...I believe because the fear in their heart of losing their Salvation , they only look at the words on the top , instead of searching the Scriptures to know what they mean...
That word NEVER should bring them comfort , but instead they read it as it is for them , unless one is not a Christian , then they would have every right to fear...
...xox...

i think some people are afraid to admit salvation is free,
because they think it will be stolen if they tell the truth about it.

I’ve come to believe that both sides are right in this debate.

To those that believe they can lose their salvation, they absolutely can!

But to those of us that believe we can never lose our Salvation we can’t!
BECAUSE, we know the one who holds it.

And therein lies the answer to the whole matter.
You either Know the One who Knows you, and you trust Him, and therefore CANT lose it, or you don’t, or at least hasn’t realized yet, and you can lose it.

Because you don’t know Him.

John 6:47
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Acts 16:30-31
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

1 Peter 1:8-9
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Does that apply to Jesus, Paul, Silas, and Peter ?

Again I say, To teach someone that all they have to do is believe on Christ and you are saved is a doctrine of the devil.

John 6:47
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

So you quoted this verse John 6:47, which is the truth, and so now you lead me to believe that's all you think you have to do to be save. But A man asked Jesus this very question, "...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?", and Jesus replied, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-19). This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12). True saints realize that God's law must be obeyed to receive eternal life.

Believing in Jesus is the first step to salvation, because it's written in James 1: 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

My pastor says the same thing about the rapture. He expects those who don't think God will spare them from tribulation, God will humor them and let them go ahead and be tested by it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts bro

The unfaithful woman will not be spared, to the outer darkness she goes.
Except that isn't what Jesus said is it? and you see the thing is we all are unfaithful in some way or form every day we are flawed beings but by the grace of God by the blood of Christ we are made spotless and clean in his sight. the only way your situation works is if our standing relies on our own merit instead of the blood of Christ now I don't know about oyu but I cannot ever be good enough I cannot ever eneter his kingdom by being fiathful enough or by meeting certain standards given by God in fact it has nothing to do with my efforts what so ever because my efforts will never be enough but because i am soaked in his sons blood because of the sacrifice of Christ his grace is sufficient

The Word says this

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Guess which i believe :)
I think we have to take into account there are those here who's allegiance is to the Catholic church, or a particular denomination's teachings.

Salvation is Jesus on the Cross.
The initial result of being saved, is that Jesus is in You, and you become a "temple of the Holy Spirit"?
The final result, until you die, or are Raptured, is that you are born again.

Can you "lose" that?

Listen,

Born again is a "Birth".
Can you lose a birth?

Jesus is joined, spiritually, to the Spirit of a born again believer, whose spirit has been made alive by the Life that is Christ.
Did you do that?
If you did, then you can change it.
If you can't, and you can't......and you are on a Christian forum arguing that you have the power to undo what God has done, or worse, you are trying to deceive believers into thinking they can lose their salvation, then you're a fool.

So according to you Jesus was preaching the doctrine of the devil.
That is blasphemous!

Your ignorance of the whole council of God is very telling.

Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Acts 13:39
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
