In terms of saying that you are saved and then thinking you are saved eternally, no absolutely not. That is a total lie. You are truly saved at the resurrection. Don't end up like King Saul.

The text below is in the past tense.

Romans 10:13
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

God does not lie.

If you believe in Jesus Christ then you are saved. To not believe that Jesus has saved you forever, is the work of the devil.

Philippians 2:12
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

And remember they were beloved and very obedient too. Even they had to run the race though and endure to the end.

Good to be humble, but also, approach the throne with boldness and confidence.

God has solemnly declared if you believe you have eternal life. God cannot lie.

Of course God doesn't lie. You have to run the race though. Plenty of examples of people that believed in God, even received the Holy Spirit, and then turned against God. King Saul great and tragic example.

If you believe today, then make sure you still believe on the last day.

So do you go through life unassured? Is it a daily task trying to make sure your good deeds outweigh the bad? Are you chasing after hope?

You are truly saved at the resurrection.
That is definitely not what the Bible teachings. You are PERFECTED at the resurrection, provided you are saved right now and know it as revealed by John.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:11-13)

It is good to know Jesus indeed and believe in him. Still have to run the race though, you don't want to end up like Ananias and Sapphira for they knew Jesus too.

Lol that's impossible, there's nothing you or I can do to do that. All we can do is hope that God have grace on us because of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
Of course it’s impossible. My point being is what do you do to keep yourself from falling into utter dispair if you believe you’re not guaranteed in the present age?

Ah, this is your problem, you're assuming I do not believe, but that is not what I have said.

You stated that no one is saved until the resurrection which is absolutely untrue. Since you made the statement, I’m just asking what do you do to ensure you’re in Gods good grace until said time?

It is not untrue, the resurrection is how and when you are truly saved. Until then it's faith, and faith is in things unseen. Plenty of people can say they are saved now, but they're just blowing wind, they probably don't even know what they're talking about, they're just repeating nonsense someone else told them. Seen plenty of people claim to be born again or saved, and then hours later go commit the sins unto the death; think they're telling the truth or think they're just really deceived?

I sorry to tell that scripture does not indicate that nor has that ever been a centralized tenet of the faith. You’re taking about hypocrisy. We are all hypocrites in one form or another. Are you saying you don’t sin?

salvation that cannot be depended on is no salvation at all.
