If you want to build a retail business of any sort you need permits for construction and etc.

Davidson County (Nashville) is just now beginning to look at permits applied for in February. They are so short staffed and have been for so long that they are on life support. There are no qualified applicants either.
A person needs to know building codes, read blueprints and business plans and how to apply them.

So...since interest rates are rising and non-existent building materials (beyond lumber) are becoming outrageous in price...there aren't going to be any jobs created. Not to mention that we can't fill the ones we currently have.

There's one of a multitude of issues we have.

NYC is worse. We put our house up for sale in December, got an offer and sold it. But the agency responsible for clearing the title was and still is unable to do that hence they had to keep 100k in escrow. We are now in the sixth month of this.

That wasn't really a general command for all. That was a specific word for a person whose "idol" was money when Jesus offered him a way to give God first place.

Actually it was exposing his breaking of the 10th commandment concerning COVETING.

You know....the one most people ignore.
 
Coveting is about wanting something that is not yours.

The other thing was about not wanting to let go of something he already had.

A bit of a difference, I am thinking...

No difference whatsoever.

They have rolling blackouts.

69 countries are appear to be in the same situation as Sri Lanka and will likely fall first -- 19 Latin American Countries, 25 Asia Pacific countries and 25 countries in Africa.

India has just shut down all exports of Wheat. India only represents 1% of the global wheat export market so that is not the big shock, the big shock is if India has to import wheat, the second big shock is the reason. Rising costs of diesel fuel make it impractical to ship wheat!

More fear-mongering by someone who is probably working actively to create artificial shortages. If we just step back a little, and think carefully, we should be asking ourselves "How can the proxy war of the USA in Ukraine create food shortages?"

Is everyone in the world depending of the supply of food from Ukraine in order to survive, or are all countries growing their own food, and many are even exporting food to other countries?" Let's face it. The central bankers are working hard to ensure that all economies collapse. So this announcement by this governor is an announcement that they are determined to create shortages where none exist and increase inflation at the same time.

California's 20 year drought is still causing issues...rice is the first crop to go.

The price is being influenced by drought in the U.S., the war in Ukraine, Russia’s unpredictable policies, hot and dry conditions in Europe and a heat wave in India.


69% of US winter wheat harvest is experiencing a severe drought


Take a look at the burning landfill, it is stunning. Because of the heat it is very hard to work outdoors and apparently harvesting wheat has to be done outdoors.


We are looking at 1-2 weeks before we see rationing of diesel fuel (article is almost a week old). Everything is shipped using diesel (Trucks, trains, ships). Much of the fuel is going to Europe, hence the shortages here.
