Um, no. Any alleged revelation that exalts Mary instead of Jesus is false.
Lol. Yes of course.
Anything that you don’t like and turning people to Jesus is false.

If we were to refer to the bible we would find that Jesus said 12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He [c]will take of Mine and declare it to you.
When did the Spirit of Truth stop '....guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come'?

I recall the same bible also says, John 21:25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. So to think that a collection of only 4 scrolls (books) from only 4 different people is exhaustive enough and contains all that God sent His Spirit to reveal is a real stretch of this truth.

2Pe 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
And how does this knowledge come to us that Peter was referring to? Obviously it wasn't through the bible (with 11, 66, 73 or 81 books) as none of these were complied at the time Peter spoke these words. But if the 'Divine Power' Peter was referring to is the Spirit of Truth Who was sent from the Father to lead us into all truth (knowledge). This is fantastic because through Him it is given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. We don't need and never have needed a Priest or Minister or Pastor to refer to past writings to gain the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue, no it is through the amazing Spirit of Truth.

revelation is an uncovering of what’s already there forminstance pauls revelation was written in the ot beforehand just wasn’t understood

All Paul taught came from here

“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: that Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:22-23‬ ‭

it was revelation of what the law and prophets had already written. The ot is set behind a veil it keeps a person from seeing God in truth

“and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the revelation in the new testament is having that veil raised up so we can see clearly.the New Testament is a revelation of what the Old Testament had left hidden

infact the gospel itself is revelation of what the ot said would come

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:44-47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

sort of Thais is a mystery written in the ot

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that needs revelation to be understood and it’s found in the New Testament

“who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:22-

the New Testament is revealing Jesus Christ as the one the ot was foretelling would come and save

my point is revelation is going to always be rooted in scrioture it’s never going to operate independent from scripture Gods word presents a prophecy and then Later gives revelation to understand it

if someone’s claiming revelation that is opposed to what’s written it’s false if someone is receiving revelation of scripture understanding of scripture priorly hidden it may be biblical revelation

the Bible is designed sin to at what’s in the Old Testament is revealed clearer in the new , what was foretold is then fulfilled on the New Testament. “Or revealed in due time “

revelation is always going to make sense when your reading scripture it’s going to help understand scripture from the old make sense in the new

“For dogs have compassed me: The assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: They pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: They look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, And cast lots upon my vesture.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭22:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

doesn’t make any sense until one reads the New Testament revelation of Christ on the cross and the events that took place as he was fulfilling the ot scriptures they were receiving revelation that it is him

revelation is to have something already there “ be uncovered or seen “ in the Bible it is to have understanding of what is there that was not understood beforehand it’s never just coming out of thin air or remaking a foundational truth it’s to have help understanding scripture

this is revelation

“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,”

this is why Paul says “ I’ve said nothing but what Moses and the prophets said would come “ why Jesus explained the law and prophets needed fulfillment why Peter says ll the prophets who ever have spoken foretold of the day of Christ

the old is hidden behind a veil the new the vail is taken away so clarity comes
Yes these guys (Paul and the apostles) did refer to what was previously revealed to others. But what were they (Moses and the prophets)referring to when they received their revelation?

If the person claims that it is for everyone, I dismiss them as false; that is claiming an addition to Scripture.

If they claim if it is for themselves, and the revelation is consistent with Scripture, I affirm the possibility that the Lord has spoken to them.

If they claim it is for someone else, or for several people, and the revelation is consistent with Scripture, I affirm the possibility and require that it be shared appropriately.

God definitely still speaks today, but when He does, it is usually a personal communication with one or a few of His children at a time.
What I find is so good is that divine truth, communicated by human means, will come to very little if it isn't communicated into the listener by the Spirit. That being by revelation. I'm guessing that we all have had that experience where someone or even a number of people have told us something that we cannot fault but do not share the passion they do in knowing a certain truth. But then one day it hits us and we now know this as an absolute truth and it has a direct impact on our lives, our attitude has changed, our mindset is altered, our emotions (passion) relating to this truth is ignited and we will never be the same again.

Acts 2:17:
‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.

Joel 2:28 :
And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

I do know we are in the last days therefore i think it is possible but caution is needed, all things of this nature must be examined very closely.

Blessings,

JF
It is fantastic to receive postbiblical revelation. My relationship with Father, my Eldest Brother at His side and the Spirit of Truth They sent to me (us) has gone to a new level through receiving postbiblical revelations. I too once feared anything beyond what was written in the bible but of course this happens every day of the week especially on the weekends when Priests, Ministers, Pastors or Teachers deliver their sermons. Once they finish reading the bible text they then go on with what is not exactly in the bible. Why do they need to add to the bible? Isn't it enough? Is it of itself not sufficient as some have stated and believe (doctrine of the sufficiency of scripture). I think many are confused by this practice of manufacturing a personal interpretation of a biblical text.

Dino, how did you come to these conclusions? Obviously it isn't from the bible as it doesn't say this, unless you can find a quote that exactly says as you say. Would this be your interpretation of what someone else has said, Jesus, Paul or maybe Peter? I'll be interested in hearing your response. Thanks in advance

There is no such thing as post biblical revelation.
We then inform the person.
Icon I'm not sure what you are basing your assumption on when you made this comment. I'd be fairly certain Jesus, Paul, Peter, John didn't say these words, 'There is no such thing as post biblical revelation'. But please correct me if I'm mistaken. Thanks

God speaks to us every day.
Imagine if we dared put limits on God because man believes it right to declare their authority to do so.
Yes Bee, to be open with an unlimited expectant heart and mind to receive revelation upon revelation. To have the added privilege of sharing it with others as our Eldest Brother did when the eyes of the blind were opened so they could see the truth and be set free from their particular bondage.

I was just reminded of the story of young Samuel and the great encouragement and advice his friend Eli gave him...

7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.

8 A third time the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”

Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

10 The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”

Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

Awesome, I feel your excitement Bee. Yes He does and it brings great joy when God speaks and reveals more of Himself to us through whatever means. He has so many at His disposal. Why limit them to our detriment. He is alive in us and His thoughts expressed to us within are living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

First, there's no such thing as post biblical revelation. That is a phrase made up by unbelievers who don't believe God still speaks to His people.
Secondly, God constantly reveals Himself to people. Check a former muslim's testimony.
Thirdly, since prophecy continues to be ministered to the church and individuals, this is revelation.
God said He would do nothing unless He reveals it first to His servants the prophets.
Edify I think I once believed that statement (there's no such thing as post biblical revelation) but I couldn't justify this claim from the bible where anyone has said there is no revelation except what would be in the bible? Maybe now that we are post bible (closed canon) whoever made this statement received a new revelation (post biblical) confirming it.

Revelation must be tested. If it contradicts God's word, then it is false. Revelation is also essential for spiritual growth. The written word must become the living word in our hearts, not just a memory in our minds.

It is possible to read a verse a dozen times and yet not "see" what it means. Then one day, the realisation comes. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. We can and should seek revelation. And there are times when God gives us revelation according to what we need.

An example. The Lord spoke to me once, and asked me, "What is your righteousness?" I thought for a moment. "The best that I can do", I said. Then a gentle reminder came: my righteousness is filthy rags before God.

I still remember the day that I read "We shall be like Him" for the first time. I'd "read" it many times before, but it meant nothing to me. I rejoiced to know that one day the Christian's greatest desire will be met. Many don't even realise that the deepest longing of the heart is to be like Jesus. If you are born again, that is God's greatest promise to you.
Gideon yes it's so amazing to receive revelation from God.

“No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no heart has imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Oh yeah, I can't leave this bit out.......

10But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. (1 Cor 2"9 & 10)

Everyone who has been revealed of Jesus Yeshua has had a post Biblical revelation, and there are many more, albeit personal revelations. Actually being given understanding of the written word b y the Holy Spirit is also, and widespread.
JaumeJ I love what Jesus said to his first disciples,
5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven [a]is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, [b]cleanse the lepers, [c]raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Matt 10:5-10
The revelation they received from Jesus was not for them to keep to themselves or for themselves judging by what Jesus said, Freely you have received, freely give. So I'm more than happy to pass on what He reveals to me personally. I would even dare to encourage others to consider doing likewise.
