Welcome to CC dear sister, so glad you are joining the discussions and fellowship here!
I'm free to volunteer or help out at random times, I hand deliver food to the homeless, and open to watching any preacher past or present. I think it should be the about the same, if married to a Christian.

Howdy Tee and welcome to the forum. This singles forum has evolved into the default chill place for people to hang out and chat about all kinds of stuff.

The question you ask seems trivial - "Being single? I'd be just as close to God if I were married!" - but I Corinthians 7:32-33 makes it clear that there is a difference. Single people (in general... there are exceptions) have more attention to spare.

So as single people, with no spouses to take up a lot of our attention, what ARE we doing? Are we spending that extra attention on binge watching TV shows? Video games? Philosophical pondering? Attending every party we can find in a 50 mile radius?

Trivial cannot be put in the same sentence as progress because each day of our lives we look to have progressed in life somehow be it Christian or not and being single in Christ out stands for me because you have ample time to connect with Christ Jesus. Looking at myself I have set Christian goals and this has made me a better person and has improved my understanding of God. This doesn't mean married people can't do it🤓.....love you all

not thought too much about it but I think I would have been distracted if I was married

I think with being single you can go at your own pace, whereas thats not the case if you are not

to get things done for example, if you think you cant do it alone you always either pushing someone else or waiting around for someone else...and when that other person IS there half the time they are also distracted by others and can only spend x amount of time with you

so, being single has its benefits, and of course Jesus did ask us to be single-minded not double-minded and unstable in all our ways

I think its more balanced but you have to find that within yourself rather than be pushed and pulled in all directions, so I would say for singles the narrow way is more straightforwards progress
