I hope you do not think I am trolling or playing games. I really want to be patient with folks and not be aggressive. Are you, perhaps, dangling it?

I get it. Since I am new here you need to test the Spirits. This forbidden fruit you are hesitant to talk about wouldn’t have anything to do with Eve having sex with the serpent would it?
I wish it were that easy. We live in a world of terrible censorship. It is getting worse all the time.We are not so nigh'eve that your allusion are lost upon us. Speak plainly that we need not guess as, if it is truth then. it should be spoken boldly.
Lazing around on the couch and indulging in junk food is natural, regular workout and cooking healthy food is unnatural, that takes determination and perseverance. And that's just one analogy of the spiritual fruit. As Christians, we are exhorted to bear fruit.
We know we are not trees, but only {metaphorical} branches, offshoots of the true vine, Jesus Christ.
I believe He was the {metaphorical} tree of Life placed in the garden of Eden; He holds the keys to
life and death; all life is in Him; He is author and giver of life etc, and eternal life is promised to those
who surrender to and abide in Him (John 15:4-5). All life was created by and for Him, and is sustained by Him.
The fruit we are to bear has different aspects to it. One is character building: the fruit of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.
Peter adds to this: make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge;
to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness,
brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. For if these things are really yours and
are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in
your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.
So our life surrendered to God, and our works through faith are fruit, and so are people who come to Christ through us (Rom 1:3; Phil 4:17), and there is also the fruit of our lips as we praise God and witness to others (Hebrews 13:15).
These are good fruits, partaken of when aligned with the will of God.
Evil fruits would be the result of disobeying God, defying God, following self will in opposition to God's will, severing ourselves from fellowship with Him, etc. That is the fruit Adam and Eve bore and ate (lived). They followed the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life, in turning away from God after being in fellowship with Him. It is what we all do before being regenerated by the Holy Spirit of God.
I think it will be wonderful to be restored to the garden in the new earth. Come LORD Jesus.
On this site, it is "pretty easy" - as long as you don't out-and-out break the rules, you shouldn't have any problem "just coming out and saying it"...I wish it were that easy. We live in a world of terrible censorship. It is getting worse all the time.
It is easy.I wish it were that easy. We live in a world of terrible censorship. It is getting worse all the time.
Yes! Excellent!It is easy.
Anyhow, if I'm following your train of thought properly, then it seems as if you're implying that the tree of the knowledge of good of evil is somehow representative of Hagar/Jerusalem which now is.
Is this where you're headed?
Then what’s with the intrigue?I get it. Since I am new here you need to test the Spirits.
A little about me...
I consider myself Christian.
I am not a 'Gnostic' trying to infiltrate this forum.
I love the KJV, it is my favorite translation.
I am extremely literal with my interpretations.
I do not teach anything found in books outside of the Bible (i.e. Book of Enoch, etc.)
I am not into Jewish Mysticism.
No this is not about 'Lilith'.
So to answer your question... no. Eve did not have sex with the Serpent.
I thought so.Yes! Excellent!
I wish it were that easy. We live in a world of terrible censorship. It is getting worse all the time.
I hope what I am about to say makes sense. I am looking for interaction with folks to discover things together, rather than me 'preaching'.Then what’s with the intrigue?
If your ideas are not heretical, why not just say them?
The real myth is that Adam got laid with Eve and knocked her up, daddy found out and kicked both of them out of the house. That's why "tasting the forbidden fruit" is one euphemism for sex and why the church is perceived to be prudish fuddy duddies on sex. Then what’s with the intrigue?
If your ideas are not heretical, why not just say them?
I thought so.
So, where do you believe this is spelled out clearly in the book of Revelation?
Fun fact...The real myth is that Adam got laid with Eve and knocked her up, daddy found out and kicked both of them out of the house. That's why "tasting the forbidden fruit" is one euphemism for sex and why the church is perceived to be prudish fuddy duddies on sex.
So, are you suggesting that "Babylon the great", as it is called in the book of Revelation, pertains to "Jerusalem which now is"?Hint...
You, I, and everyone here has partaken of the Forbidden Fruit.
Jeremiah 51:7
"Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad."
It is how we got here.![]()
Okay...that's weird.Fun fact...
Adam and his Wife had no reproductive organs before the Fall. Reproductive organs were meant for the Animal Kingdom so that they could 'be fruitful and multiply'.
The Forbidden Fruit changed that.
Okay- today is the first day I've ever heard mentioned the "Eve and Serpent sex scandal"- and It's come up 3 times from 3 different sources.
I'm not gonna marvel at how dumb this is... I'm not. No. No marvelling.
Right on.So, are you suggesting that "Babylon the great", as it is called in the book of Revelation, pertains to "Jerusalem which now is"?
If you are, then I need to tell you that I've taught the same for 30 something years.
How, though, do you compare "her" to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Don't be shy.
Just speak your mind.
