1Acre = 4840 square yards
Total acreage of USA = 2.27 Billion
Current world population 7.8 Billion
2.27/7.8 = 0.291 acres or 1613 sq yards (4839 sq ft)
Average area of a "family dwelling" in USA = 2000 sq ft

1 sq mile = 640 acres
Land mass of planet Earth = 57,506,000 sq miles
Land mass of USA = 3,546,875 sq miles (6% of total land)
Planet Earth is 70% water
The total surface area of Earth is about 197 million square miles
The USA = 1.8% of the total surface area of planet Earth

The atmosphere of planet Earth is 300 miles thick

The current global debt is 253 Trillion
If you could spend 1 dollar per second, that's 86,400 dollars per day, it would take you 8,022,577 years to spend 253 Trillion

If the entire population of Earth can comfortably occupy only 1.8% of the planet... then where are all the planet's resources going? If 10% of the population owns 90% of the planet's resources... then how does "supply and demand" factor into our current debt?
It occurs to me that mankind has reached a strange time in its... "evolution"..., when the concept of "money" has outgrown the worth of the planet we occupy. This world is governed by evil in high places, and GREED is the root of all evil.

We are being lied to...

There are three kinds of people...
Those who are good at math and those who aren't.

Thank God give us this day our daily bread.
Actually quite a cogent point.

The land required to grow food for a person is a LOT more than the land required for a person to live. Same with every species. You don't just need a place for a horse to stay, you also need a field to grow his hay.

All those cities with all those people in tight areas can't exist in a vacuum. Cut off supply lines to all the LARGE areas that grow food for them and they'd die in very short order.

But if you're right - if we are being lied to - to run around in fear all day is to deny the power of God. Is God more or less powerful than the people doing the lying? Will God take care of His people or leave them at the mercy of the liars?

You're still not doing the math....
"1.8%".... That 1.8% is enough space for a 2000 sq/ft "family dwelling" for every "singe person" on this planet, and a 2839 sq/ft yard. That's a nice little garden wouldn't you say? Not to mention, there's still 98.2% of the ENTIRE EARTH left over.

God made us in His image and gifted us with a small portion of His intellect to discern the Truth. Personally, I enjoy exercising that intellect and thanking God for clarity.

The world is a lot bigger than your TV screen...

I only do basic math or arithmetic as some call it.

The thing I find confusing is different weights and measures as some people use imperial measurements and some use metric. So you could be talking all these numbers, but they are not absolute because the increments you are using are different for the object or concept you are describing.

I haven't watched TV since I moved to Tennessee and very little before that.
For sure, Tennessee is a great place for not watching TV.

Now if I were cooped up in a tiny apartment in a big city... Yeah I'd probably watch a lot of it.
