You've done some pretty heavy lifting in your work life. Not sure what they do in the States about early retirement for tradies as compared to we chair dwellers, and we don't have anything arranged here in Oz. But there is some valid argument IMO for those of us that have have had bodies subjected to being hammered by hard labour to be entitled to early retirement if they want!

Yes, I agree, the Globalists have been naive at best. It seems to me that it's another example of man's unrealistic expectations...their thrust has significantly retarded the manufacturing industry here in Oz, as well as further compromised godly moral standards.

I love those kind of days too, they're a great excuse for doing nothing, and listening to the rythym of the falling rain can be downright therapeutic! 😁 I'm glad you enjoyed yours.

What part of the USA do you dwell in?

I heard y'all call McDonald's Maccas. Yeah, it was McDonald's.

It was an order from a local company. They said which one, but I forgot.

Yesterday was my last day before a week of vacation. I put forth the theory that this was a plot to make sure I appreciate every last iota of my vacation.

We usually only get really big orders in terms of mcdoubles. 120 mcdoubles, 140 mcdoubles, 190 mcdoubles... Usually in summer when the local school is doing some kind of sports thing. That's easy to knock out - They take two meat patties each, but I can cook 40 patties per run and they take less than a minute to cook. Large quarter pounder orders, that's another ball game.

I did it the same way though. Just ran the grill like an assembly line and cooked them as fast as they would cook.

I went to church today. I dont really go any more, just now and then. It is a church my friend has been attending for the last few weeks. She is also new to it. It wasn't bad. The pastor's message was quite good. He seems to give good sermons. This is my second time there and two out of two good sermons. I dont plan to go each week. It is about 30km away from where I am moving to so not too long a drive and less traffic so early on a Sunday.

The only part I disliked was the pep talk on tithing. I am not againsttithing. Personally I believe it is between you and God but what I dislike is when they guilt you or hype up the tithing. Like I said it is between you and God. This guy must have talked a solid 15 mins about tithing. Towards the end I was thinking for goodness sake just pass the bucket around and leave it to each individual will you o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

We then went to Ikea as I wanted to have a look at a few things. Got lost on the way home and ended up in suburbs I have never visited before :LOL:.

Not been long home and the night has already started.

I'd like to say my initial reaction was trust and faith but it was not. Time and God's grace bought me to a level of acceptance and therefore peace. Truth be told I was initially a mixture of fear, anxiety and discouragement and also a level of anger. Any peace I may have is totally God's grace.

You have to think they must be struggling to pay for the rent! If they are that cash strapped maybe it would be an idea for them to move to Sunday home groups? If you are ever over on the East Coast and are intending to tell a pastor to shut up and just pass the bucket around, let me know, I'd like to see that...that would bring the house down 😂 On a serious note though, you often hear of people feeling they are being bullied into giving. And it's not just churches, some of the charitable organisations are just as bad. There's something seriously wrong with their motivation IMO.

How did you go at Ikea, did you find what you were after? The nearest Ikea is about 180 Ks away from where I live. Nonetheless you can buy online and they will ship to a regional depot, so that makes buying from them a bit more tenable. In fact I've got four Scandinavian Rocking Chairs I bought from Ikea decades ago, sitting on the side verandah ready for me to patch up. As soon as I find where I put my motivation I'll do that.

Sounds like you must have done a bit of a cooks tour on the way home...useful way to see sites you wouldn't otherwise have seen. I do it often when I'm going through new areas...stoopid GPS (buck pass 😁).

Well, yes, I get you. I can empathise with you and your situations. I'm renting where I am at the moment, and am not keen to move my furniture again unless it's out the door to next door or across the street. I've started looking at the prospect of buying a caravan and just tour.

Hmmm, Sunday here has been pretty quiet. Overcast with an odd shower, about 25c degrees max.
Read a bit of Matthew's gospel, then a relaxed morning catching up on CC and Facebook.

The cat has so far killed a zip tie and a rubber band, and is being a pain hooning around the house. It wouldn't be such a problem if she didn't throw the handbrake on when she hits a corner, her sliding claws rough up the surface of the hardwood flooring. She's 10 years old, and showing no signs of growing up!

I put my best friend to work later on (my slow cooker... Beef Rogan Josh), and got stuck into some weeding.

Catching up on YouTube news channels, and most importantly CC responses before calling it a day.

I hope your day has been a fantastic one for you 👍
