Using God's TRUE Sabbath. The Passion of Christ is clear.

1. TUESDAY: Jesus ate Passover meal in the evening of Abib 14 with his disciples.
2. WEDNESDAY: The next Day, Abib 15, The Sabbath of the first day of unleavened bread, He was crucified.
3. THURSDAY: In the grave all day = 1 day
4. FRIDAY: In the grave all day = 2 days
5. SATURDAY: In the grave all day = 3 FULL days
6. SUNDAY MORNING AT DAWN it was discovered that Jesus had ALREADY risen. This means he arose on SATURDAY SABBATH.
7. SUNDAY EVENING (not the beginning of Monday), He appeared to his disciples. Sunday could not have started at sundown on Saturday without making Sunday longer than 24 hours.

ALL scripture must reconcile. Otherwise your interpretation of events is wrong.
I agree that The Pharisees of Rabbinical Judaism start their Sabbath at sundown.

That is NOT God's Sabbath. (as scripture proves out).
The scripture does not identify the first day of unleavened bread, as a Sabbath day. As I said before, the day of Atonement is a Sabbath day because Leviticus 23, tells us it is a Sabbath.

The second problem you have.

You put Jesus in the tomb on Wednesday not Thursday, Jesus was crucified according to you on Wednesday. What happened to Wednesday night, 12 hours? How come Wednesday night is not included in the count?

Why were the Pharisees and high priest in a rush to get Jesus and the two thieves off the cross before sundown?
Because the Sabbath was about to begin.

Luke 23:53-54
And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain. It was a preparation day, and a Sabbath was about to begin.

The Sabbath began at sunset, 'a Sabbath was about to begin'.

It was so fast that Mary did not have time to anoint the body of Jesus.

Did you even read verse 25?

25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

These words were spoken BEFORE they would have gone out to gather (when the dew lifted from the manna).

You cannot reconcile All scripture to the Passion of Christ unless you realize that the Pharisee practice of the 6pm Sabbath was NOT the true Biblical Sabbath.
The four resurrection accounts of Jesus cannot be reconciled in the gospels. Since when do the gospel accounts need to be reconciled with each other?

Your verse (25) does not in anyway indicate what time the Sabbath started. Your verse merely mentions they ate the manna on the Sabbath day.

I need to see the evidence from the scripture that destroys, as you say. That the Sabbath starts at sundown.

Because they were going by THEIR interpretation of the Sabbath. Nod God's. Jesus rebuked then for keeping their own traditions.

Using your interpretation.

Jesus cannot have risen on the Sabbath because that was not three full days, and three full nights.

You have Jesus rising on the Sabbath and in the tomb on the Sabbath ("in the tomb all day")?

You can't have it both ways.
From Wed. afternoon to Thurs. afternoon = 1 day
From Thurs. afternoon to Fri. afternoon = 2 days
From Fri. afternoon to Sat. afternoon = 3 full days.

Jesus arose on Saturday sometime BEFORE dawn on Sunday.

Moses was clearly not saying these words in the evening.

All accounts are reconciled when you understand that the Pharisees did not follow God's Sabbath.

The Pharisee Sabbath was about to begin. God's Sabbath DREW ON (continued, was in progress, was on-going)

Mary had just as much time as Joseph of Arimathea. She did not anoint because it was Her Sabbath, since dawn that day.

And: The first Day of all of God's feast is a High Sabbath.

Too many Christians follow the "erase and replace" theology of the Pharisees and Rabbinic Judaism of today.
They should challenge themselves to understand the scriptures as they are clearly written.
Since all scripture is truth, it all must reconcile. Otherwise, our understanding is flawed.

Not a single day, throughout the Bible, begins at any time other than Dawn.
The sundown starting time was introduced by the occult religion of the Hasmoneans, as was the attempts to erase God's name by claiming that it was forbidden to prevent people from breaking the 3rd commandment and then, later, saying that God's name could not even be pronounced (then, yet later still, introducing incorrect pronunciations such as Jehovah). Luckily, we have scripture such as Psalms (isn't that song and poetry?) that state God's name as written in ancient Hebrew. For instance, the famous Psalms 23 states his name (YHWH) twice. Why would an "unpronounceable" name be in song?

Proverbs 30 1The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,

2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.

3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.

4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

It was not their interpretation. It's bible. It was common knowledge. Where did the Jews get it from...the OT scriptures.

Can you show from scripture, without your private interpretation, that a biblical 24 hour day begins at 6am? Thanks.

When you read a verse as shown below.

John 19:14
Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “Look, your King!”

Chaos ensues.

There is no preparation day for the Passover in the Old Testament.

John 19:31
Now then, since it was the day of preparation, to prevent the bodies from remaining on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews requested of Pilate that their legs be broken, and the bodies be taken away.

That Sabbath was a high day, not the first day of unleavened bread was a high day.

A preparation day for a weekly Sabbath on which the first day of unleavened bread also occurred (high Sabbath day).
If I'm not confused, then it you that is confused, which just leaves, obviously, a confusion. *

*note to self> this should be my signature tagline

FYI "on the morrow" means THE FOLLOWING DAY.

Furthermore:

John 20:19
King James Version

19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

It could not be Sunday evening here if Sunday started at sundown on Saturday.
The Bible was written so that we can easily understand. Passages actually MEAN what they say.

This does not define the term day, as in a 24 hour period. Moses judged the people during daylight hours, morning unto the evening.

John is the only gospel account that uses Roman time.
