They went there before Sunday Morning, the book says yet dark in (John 20:1) The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. (2) Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
When we are told that it was discovered that Christ had risen before the sun rose on Sunday, that means he was left on Saturday. If you would like to believe this was Sunday, be my guest.
It is a comfort to me to know Christ rose on the Sabbath, it tells me that God is truly eternal and never changes, God saved lives through blood on the Sabbath in the first Passover, and Christ rose to show us eternal life on the Sabbath.
