Hi, what is that bible verse that has help you the most since you came to God.
This would be too hard of a question to answer because God has used so many different Bible verses over the years to minister to me in so many different ways.Hi, what is that bible verse that has help you the most since you came to God.
Because context says otherwise. It was spoken to an individual. And his family were only saved After they heard and accepted the gospel. So it's not a doctrine, it's a line in a story. At no point does this chapter suggest his family is saved because he is.Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, YOU and YOUR HOUSEHOLD!
Sadly, most Christians don't believe this.
The promise is ONLY for those who believe it. Why don't you?Because context says otherwise. It was spoken to an individual. And his family were only saved After they heard and accepted the gospel. So it's not a doctrine, it's a line in a story. At no point does this chapter suggest his family is saved because he is.
29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

“I give [My sheep] eternal life, and they will never perish" (John 10:28)Hi, what is that bible verse that has help you the most since you came to God.
Amen, we are safe in God's hands“I give [My sheep] eternal life, and they will never perish" (John 10:28)
Job was the first bible book I read when I came to JesusThis would be too hard of a question to answer because God has used so many different Bible verses over the years to minister to me in so many different ways.
That said, as strange as this may initially sound, the one book of the Bible which might ultimately prove to have been the most advantageous to me is the book of Job.
Why?
Well, because there I learned to never pit my own righteousness against God's righteousness.
God is always right.
Whenever anything rises up in me against his word, then I know that the problem is at my end, and I repent accordingly.
What's your favorite verse, and why?
Totally agree with you. Is not that we don't "believe it", is just that it was a personal and individual promisa, not a promise to the church.Because context says otherwise. It was spoken to an individual. And his family were only saved After they heard and accepted the gospel. So it's not a doctrine, it's a line in a story. At no point does this chapter suggest his family is saved because he is.

Hi, what is that bible verse that has help you the most since you came to God.
Amen, we got to be patient with ourselves and trust God. I love that verse."being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"
Philippians 1:6
As I said, context. And I even posted the context to prove it rather than isolated scripture. The promise is ONLY for those who believe it. Why don't you?
