Throughout the Bible it is clear that GOD wants his name to be known and proclaimed.
In this day and age we can easily figure out that his name is YHWH (Pronounced Yahuah).
His name is always replaced with a Title, "the Lord". (about 6,800 times).
Can anyone explain why this has not been corrected? (IN ANY mainstream Bible).
“YHWH”
was originally an unpronounceable word like it was hidden from them. Later men decided it was pronounced “Yahweh” or “yahuah”
the Old Testament has a veil by which no one can really know God. But he promised that we would all know his name later in prophecy like this
“
Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”
Isaiah 52:6-7 KJV
“And
ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and
my people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass
afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids
in those days will I pour out my spirit.”
Joel 2:27-29 KJV
( acts chapter two when they received the spirit and began to baptize in his name )
“
Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called;
I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.”
Isaiah 48:12-13 KJV
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. …I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
Revelation 22:12-13, 16 KJV
“In the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. …But as many as received him, to them gave he
power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
….And
the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory
as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. For the law was given by Moses, but
grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father,
he hath declared him.”
John 1:1-3, 10, 12-14, 17-18
“And now, O
Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.”
John 17:5-6 KJV
“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.”
John 8:24-25 KJV
until the son was manifest the fullness of God ( father son and Holy Ghost ) was not manifest.
“For
in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
Colossians 2:9
while the ot declares things like “ I am “ to be his name it is as if we are looking through a veil and it’s pointing to Christ Jesus
“Verily, verily, I say unto you,
If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Then said the Jews unto him,
Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and
thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead:
whom makest thou thyself?
… Jesus said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I Am.”
John 8:51-53, 58 KJV
In the end we realize God was slowly making himself known until Jesus arrived and tore the veil away and showed himself making his name known
“And we know that
the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and
we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
1 John 5:20 KJV
when we look at the ot it’s looking at God and hearing God through a veil in part the gospel is where he’s made himself Known
“Seeing then that we have such hope,
we use great plainness of speech: and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but
their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament;
which
vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless
when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.”
2 Corinthians 3:12-16 KJV
it’s why when they baptized it was into Jesus or “ yeshua” in hebrew tongues name. notice how if you saw “yeshua “ and we’re looking through a veil obscuring your sight it may look and sound like “ yahua”
just my own thoughts though not claiming to have the answers everyone needs to agree with
