I didn't know he was banned...I was just talking with him. He was one of the friendly ones.Does anyone know what happened to JStates? Well, not so much what, but why?
Not to complain, but he did seem like a really nice guy.

I agree. I enjoyed his sharing, also. He mentioned being banned on his poetry thread, but said that happened after
he had created that thread which was mid-March; obviously it was originally overturned, but then re-instated

is it just me, or have there been A LOT of peeps willfully leaving (and a few unexpectedly being banned) lately?
I mean like A LOT?
Seems like almost everyday I'm being surprised with names turning to "guest" or checking profiles and "last seen on.........." has been several days (when it isn't "normal" for that person

When I lived in Michigan there were always a bunch of those little guys scurrying about.

I guess that JStates took the Banned Game thread seriously. I have no idea why he was banned, seemed like a nice guy to me.
Our ornamental cherry trees blossomed just over a couple of weeks ago

There were two cherry trees in the backyard of the house that I grew up in. I don't think there are any cherry trees around where I now live. Just townhouses.

Of course most of you know that we don't normally discuss the reasons behind someone's ban.
JStates was warned twice about violating our TOS with threads that he tried to start and the was issued a 2 week ban when he tried a third time. His ban became permanent when he tried to start a thread that accused me of lying about the two warnings when I issued the temp ban.
Needless to say accusing site Admin of lying will never end well.

I was not complaining and did not expect a reply from you, Mr. Mod lol. I do know the reasons why are not normally discussed by admin I just wondered if anyone had seen anything that might explain it. Since it was multiple attempts to start threads that violated the TOS, then it is likely that nobody else would know. So thank you once again 
mm well I think if things are nipped in the bud BEFORE they escalate its better for everyone

I know some people withhold information but, thats not quite the same as outright lying or decieving others

I found with masks, they are a pain to wear but if you ARE infectious you dont want to go round infecting others...
with the virus unfortunately its spread easily through the air
ppl that dont work in hospitals or around lots of people all the time dont quite get that.
also needs to be adequate ventilation, a lot of buildings dont even have that which is why those who are poorer are adversely affected compated to those who are richer...rich people tend to have more space.

Disappointing. I really appreciated the general attitude of Jstates. In fact, I saw him get intellectually attacked repeatedly with words of harshness and unkindness. I went to his defense more than once, and while I defended him, I never saw him retaliate. I guess I just don't understand why people were allowed to abuse him and are allowed to remain, yet he was banned. I've been told that I'm "unwell" and need help . . . far worse than being accused of lying.
Poor dude. He was really going through a rough time, so much so that I wrote to him a strong reply to the last post of his (that I saw) about enduring his hardships. Being banned was not helpful for his time of crisis. This is a sad day.

I miss that guy too. I agree with you about your estimate on how he conducted himself in the forums.
