Hello everyone,

My name is Holly Sit and I am from Indonesia. I have been a Christian since I was 15 and I am glad that I found this great community!

In this post, I would like to find a partner to study the Bible here since the Covid-19 pandemic influenced me to find new online friends and strengthen our faith and understanding of the Bible together in this difficult time.

It will be great if someone is willing study the Bible together with me from Genesis to Revelation and it will be great to get to know each other better throughout the study. Don't worry guys, 100% will be purely from the Bible.

Please kindly reply this thread if you are interested.

Thank you and God bless you

In the beginning...

Is this a thread for everybody to discuss the entire bible, starting from genesis? Or is this where you post a Bible study and we comment on it? I'm not sure what the format is here.

I'm inclined to think the former :)

The begats are not that bad. They are just a living and written example of the jot and title that will be fulfilled and all in-between. It is God showing he alone has the power and authority to carry out to the detail what he has swore. That he alone can decree and follow through. The begats show us that Christ was the seed of the woman, promise fulfilled, that Christ was the son of man as his lineage can be traced to Adam making him a son of man, promise fulfilled, as well as the begats show he is the son of David, promise fulfilled. They are just God showing he and he alone has the authority to do exactly as he has proclaimed and that is good news for us cause if he did that in his majestic power then surely he shall do all he has proclaimed. Praise God for his faithfulness as he alone can do :):)

Its a thing to list everyones names...I need to write down everyones names as library members when they are enrolled. So I get why the Bible does it. Those people were important to God.

Id like to hop on as Im re-reading the Bible again but I am only up to Exodus, Its the ICB version which is different from the one I usually read KJV.

Hello,

It is actually we can study the Bible together and actually my friends hold a class for studying the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I am quite interested with that class. So, if you are actually interested to know more, we can actually discuss first and find the most suitable time to study the Bible :).

hope this answers your question and do let me know if you have anything.

Good idea (actually it's a great idea).
I've been getting thoughts of people living apart in distance doing a Bible reading - it sounds like nothing (and why not read it for yourself alone?) but I feel like something good will come out of it when the believers come together, even separated by distance, do something together like reading the Scripture would create/bring unexpected blessing. In my opnion, if I may, doing the Bible reading would lead to some form of Bible studies - I'm sure you or anyone in the Zoom (I'm thinking about 3-5 people taking turns) have something to share or add.

I like the sound of bible study with other believers.

I understand threads can divert from their original intention and therefore can see why some may not want to bible study on here, but I'm genuinely wondering if it's a good idea to go off this site with a new member no one knows? Would it be better to get to know someone first before video bible study, as I think the OP is suggesting?

It is a dream of mine to have a girlfriend or wife, in real life, that wanted to discuss the Bible with me.
