Maybe the wall was supposed to be more white? @stilllearning
Thanks Magenta :) Not sure if that is the color or not. It was a old old home. It was a company house and when the government broke up company towns my great something got the home. It had a old coal fired furnace in the basement and the coal dump from the outside of the house to the furnace room.

So over the years as they updated stuff as it got passed along it still had old stuff, so grew up with old steam radiators all through the house, right next to the ones cut into the floor for modern heating......LOL When my dad died in 96 my step mom got it and she and him were already living apart gonna get a divorce. So she never lived in it and it fell into such a bad state that the town condemned it and tore it down.

It was all lath and plaster walls and they were different colors some white some I reckon like a peach color as well as other colors. I am color blind so never much pay attention to color. So anyway thank ya for both ya redid, truly appreciate your kindness and hope your day is a great one :)

You are welcome! It is a great pleasure for me to improve people's pictures, all the more so treasured ones, so I am glad you did not mind me taking liberties :D One thing I know from my decades of working as a printer and color corrector in photo labs is that walls have a tendency to go off color, especially in low light situations, or simply from being further from the light source/flash; also, photos lose color and color layers over time. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hone my skills, as I have learned a few new things while experimenting with how to improve the walls in these images. Haha probably most people would not even care about a wall in a photo :giggle:

We had those floor vents in my family home also. The one in our front hall was quite large, and my mother once told me that as a toddler, I had been jumping into the opening with the protective grate off. They made it so the grate could not be removed after that, because had the thin metal vent beneath it given way, I could have fallen right down into the furnace

You can take whatever liberties ya please I am easy going and is a honor if something I post allows you to hone or practice. I get to share in your final product so is a win win :) So you are always welcome to do as ya please :) I love color just don't see it the same way other folks do. Was asking a fellow member about your name and the color you post in and she was saying it is a purplish color. Which that is one of the colors I don't see so Magenta looks blue to me just like purple does. However, one day I shall get a new body and looking forward to the sensory overload I will see when my new eyes see color as it is......LOL Anyway just again thanks for your kindness and adding that touch that makes the old look better so feel free to improve anything pic wise I post :)

ooh photoshop makeover

Im not talented in the visual arts like some are. When you go on film or camera in the movies or tv, mostly your makeup is done FOR you you dont actually do it yourself. And all those movie stars, models etc? . All their clothes/costumes are given to them they only wear it once for the photo shoot.

Thank you :) You are ever so very gracious! I do hope others realize that the photos I improve for them can be saved for their own future personal use. Those images would not be suitable for printing because the pixel count necessary for printing is much higher than what is required for displaying on monitors, which is why photos are often very large when shared "as is"/unedited from the original device. However, if someone wanted something they could print, I could do that, too.

Yes, magenta is the word used in printing/light ray speak for the blending of blue and red... as a printer I would not say, "This picture is too purple!" :giggle: Haha, no, it is either too magenta or needs magenta on account of being too green. Working with color has been very interesting for me. You will no doubt love Love LOVE the color magenta when you see it :D:):D The color itself is much more vibrant pink looking than it is purple; the blue seems to not really be as readily visible, so it is remarkable that you perceive it that way. I realize that men are more prone to color blindness, but even so, most people do not see anywhere near the full range of colors available.

"One in 12 men are color blind compared to one in 255 women. " Wow. That is quite the stat. "Researchers at Newcastle University also believe that some women may be able to see 99 million more colors than the average human being."

No lol... I can't see anything on my phone
I asked because at one time I was under the impression that anything over 1M would not display on a phone. Of course that was years ago and also years before I ever got a cell phone (which was a gift from my daughter, because she was horrified when I bought a flip phone LOL)... and now phones are more like hand held mini, multi-functional computers, so their capabilities have probably improved a great deal since then in that regard. I can even watch videos on my phone :)

Not me lol... I have to use my bifocals to see my phone, and I need my glasses to find my bifocals :geek:

I've got my computer plugged into my big screen in the livingroom :sneaky:

Yes, I try to stay off my phone for visuals... I mean, it is quite a strain on my eyes. I have of late taken to wearing those store-bought magnifying glasses when I am doing anything other than talking on my phone, and also when I am working on my designs, or reading the boards here. Or reading anything, anywhere. Ugh. I do wear prescriptive lenses otherwise, but mostly only for driving. There was no way I was going to agree to wearing bifocals in my early forties! I opted for progressive lenses :D

My mom liked to perm my hair because it is naturally straight as in below.

I am the tall blonde probably around 12.
