These are the good Christian behaviors I posted after much prayer.

I guess the list could go on indefinitely, but this is a start. What do you think are some good behaviors for Christians to have? Please feel free to post what God is telling you.

To be understanding of another's poor behavior and why it is happening. And, if we can understand that consistent poor behavior is because the Sinful Nature has yet to be removed, forgiveness becomes easy:

Romans 7:5, 20 NLT - 5 "When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death." ... 20 "But if I do what I don't want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it."

Because of this, it is easy to Love our enemies. Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.

Be thankful to Him for everything
dont worry about anything, give your worries to God in prayer
Love your enemeis. If they are hungry, feed them, if they are thirsty, give them something to drink

I became active on internet forums back in 1997 when we got our first
internet-capable computer. Early on, a guy I ran across on the old Lycos
boards told me: Forums are the armpit of the internet. I soon discovered he
was right.

Folks usually enjoy talking about grace but many seem thoroughly
uninterested in exemplifying it. Grace is sort of like the Classics. Everyone
agrees we should have them in our libraries; but who actually reads them?

Anyway, for what it's worth; here's my own take on grace.

• Col 4:6 . . Let your conversation be gracious

Webster's defines gracious as: kind, courteous, inclined to good will,
generous, charitable, merciful, altruistic, compassionate, thoughtful, cordial,
affable, genial, sociable, cheerful, warm, sensitive, considerate, and tactful.

Cordial stresses warmth and heartiness

Affable implies easy approachability and readiness to respond
pleasantly to conversation or requests or proposals

Genial stresses cheerfulness and even joviality

Sociable suggests a genuine liking for the companionship of others

Generous is characterized by a noble or forbearing spirit; viz:
magnanimous, kindly, and liberal in giving

Charitable means full of love for, and goodwill toward, others; viz:
benevolent, tolerant, and lenient.

Altruistic means unselfish regard for, or devotion to, the welfare of
others; viz: a desire to be of service to others for no other reason than it
just feels good to do so.

Tactful indicates a keen sense of what to do, or say, in order to
maintain good relations with others in order to resolve and/or avoid
unnecessary conflict.

Compassion defines a sympathetic awareness of others' distress,
coupled with a desire to alleviate it.

• Col 4:6 . . Let your conversation be . . . seasoned with salt

It seems to me from the language and grammar of Matt 5:13, Mark 9:50,
and Luke 14:34 that the primary purpose of salt is to enhance flavor and
make otherwise naturally insipid and/or bad-tasting things palatable, viz:
salt can be thought of as diplomacy; roughly defined as conversation that
makes an effort to maintain peace rather than provoke conflict and/or annoy
people and make them uncomfortable.

Yeah but how should would we love our enemies? Roll the red carpet out for them, kill the fatted calf and roast it, put a ring on their finger? Okay, maybe not that, but where do we draw the line if there is a line?

I agree totally and tend to err on the side of caution with this one because it's not possible to know who is listening or if they'll take offense. However, what is profanity actually? Some people cuss like sailors, not because they are meaning to be profane, but because they're sailors. No offense to sailors.

I saw a bumper sticker "Humankind: be both" which sounds good but doesn't completely define what being human means. I think if it means by being human, we are trying to be like Jesus, then yes. I don't think that's what the bumper sticker creators had in mind though.

yes the” as yourself part “

we tend to act upon our own needs but often when it comes to others we just say the words and even feel the feelings but tend to keep the actions for ourself.

if I’m hungry I make sure to feed myself , thirsty I make sure to get a drink , if I have a need I’m capable of meeting I always do that. I think it’s a challenge for us to begin acting in love for others as we do for our own self and our close family.

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.”

I feel like we don't see enough of 1, 2, and 3 John. Those are goldmines in the scripture.

Yes I agree. I have been thinking of this more frequently lately. Like one's poor behavior might be a symptom of something. Maybe they aren't really trying to be offensive?
