This is false and was made up by you.
OK, maybe "exalted" is the wrong word, let's say "expected". "Messiah" literally means annointed one, in all OT history an annointed one is always a political leader, that has always been the expectation of their messiah. Haven't I already said that?

There is no evidence rebels against Rome were automatically thought of as the or a Messiah.
That was the expectation of Jesus during His ministry. Jews asked John the Baptist if he was the Christ. Even the Samaritan woman addressed Him in this way: "Could this be the Christ?" They didn't know any kingdom of heaven, they wanted a king to bring the kingdom here on earth.

“Abomination of Desolation” is supposed to be a one-off historic event committed by Antiochus who set up an image of Zeus in the temple and sacrificed a pig to it, that was THE sacrilegious offense that triggered the Maccabee revolt. Jesus mentioned that both as a scriptural and a historic reference instead of a direct quote. Unless you believe in the dispensationalist version of Third Temple, nobody else ever did that again till the Temple was burned to the ground in 70AD, and nor will it ever happen again since there's no temple to defile. Therefore if Luke translated that as the siege, then so be it. You think Luke 21:20 is a separate event only because you take a reductionist approach.
One off event? Can you explain where you get this idea from?
Jesus said, YOU WILL SEE IT.

It is NOT a past event, It is a future event (in the time Jesus wrote these words)

But your right. No one ever did it again. Hence. Either Jesus LIED> Or there will be another temple built. And jesus is warning the jews who are alive at that time, When you see this RUN!! For then thei will be great tribulation. So great. unless Jesus returned himself to put an end to it. No flesh (life) would survive.

I think Jesus was referring to Dan. 9:26-27, the overspreading of abomination that causes desolation, that’s the 70th week which He fulfilled, but whatever, you decide which reference in Daniel actually applies.

He was.

And that event in Dan 26 was to occure AFTER the city and sanctuary was destroyed and left desolate
It was to occur by the prince who is to come. Who would come out of the people who destroyed the city
It was to occur 3.5 years after that prince confirmed a covenant with many
It would only be allowed to remain for a set period of time,

It has not yet happened. so it is yet future.

the 70 weeks have not been fulfilled. Nothing That Daniel was told woulkd occure at the end of the 70 weeks has yet happened concerning Jerusalem and the city.

Yeah, all dispensationlists preach the same stuff. The 70th week was already fulfilled by Jesus, that had always been the traditional belief until Darby and Scofield twisted it with their own version. Why should there be a 2000 plus year gap put between the 69th and the 70 week?

Jesus said in Matt. 26:28 - "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." He has fulfilled all 70 weeks. "It is FINISHED."

Jesus fulfilled ther Abraham covenant, In you shall all the nations of the world be blessed

Daniel 9 was not about the eternal salvation of any person, It was about Daniels prayer for God to show mercy on the people of Israel and the city of Jerusalem.

The answer that Gabriel gave to Daniel concerning his prayer was for Isreal. Not you and I or anyone else who is not a part of the covenant between God and Israel. which concerns them, their land and the temple.

You are stuck in dual theology and try to insert eternal salvation for the world into Daniel 9. When that was never the context. Daniel was not praying about that.

You need to read the whole chapter. not just look at a few verses and think you know what it is all about.

here is a quick refresh.

Daniels prayer was for..

Dan 9:
16 “O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us. 17 Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. 18 O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. 19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”

Gabriel's answer

“Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city,

Its not about christ redeeming mankind to himself. It is about Daniels people. and the city of Jerusalem.

To make it about anything else is to take it out of context.

Since Daniel prayed for mercy on HIS PEOPLE and the holy city, why would Gabriel give him the Antichrist? "What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?" In 9:27, a covenant shall be made; in Matt. 26:28, Jesus made that covenant.

Gabriel did not give him the antichrist.

Gabriel just stated events that would happen.

Thats what prophecy is. It is used by Gopd so when people see these things happen. they can KNOW God spoke of it. And God uses it to draw people to himself. or as he always said, "So you may Know I am God"

Jesus did not make a 7 year covenant. (He shall CONFIRM a covenant for 1 week (7 years))

Jesus made an eternal covenant which will never end.

Another person dumping on Darby and Scofield instead of doing his Bible study diligently. It seems like a badge of honor for some to attack Darby and Scofield, but the fact of the matter is that they were on the right track. And so was Francisco Ribera. The 70th week of Daniel has not been fulfilled since it has nothing to do with Jesus. The first half of this period of seven years (3 1/2 years) is assigned by God to the Antichrist.

Jesus told the disciples to run for the mountains when they saw the signs - BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE. If they were already arrested and delivered up to the council, how did they still get to run?

You don't know that. This "great city" could be Babylon the Great. Most people assume that's Jerusalem, but Jesus was crucified OUTSIDE Jerusalem. They made sure of that so the blood won't "defile the land".
"Where also our Lord was crucified" - You do realize HE was crucified in Israel - Yes?

He was condemned in Jerusalem by the High Priest & Council = therefore it does not matter that HE was crucified outside the city limits.

Today, Israel is in complete rebellion against the LORD more then when HE walked this earth.

The Jews will worship their chosen messiah and will suffer the onslaughgt of the nations as is now being prepared.

"For I(God) will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city."

because there was no such thing as Futurism or Preterism until these Jesuits decided to invent them, and they invented them so the condemnation could be taken away from their church. These two invented doctrines have caused so much confusion and division. Historicism was what the unadulterated church believed until these theory's were invented.

I'm asking people to study History and then decide if Futurism is divinely inspired or was inspired by man causing many errors?
I don't start with history when I interpret Scripture. I simply read the straightforward text and take it for what it says. If it says 42 months I just take that literally, unless there is good and clear reasons to not take it literally.

Gabriel didn't, of course, but dispensationalists did. They interpreted the 7 years as 7 years of Great Tribulation at the end brought forth by the Antichrist, and you took that all in. In Dan. 9:27 the term varies, older versions use "confirm", newer ones use "make", but either way that covenant is the one in Matt. 26:28, "many" are "whosoever believes in Him." Eternal life with God is the ultimate blessing in that covenant God made with Abraham, and Jesus fulfilled it. If He hadn't He wouldn't have cried out His last words - "It is finished!"

You're denying Jesus's divinity and falling for a bunch of wolves in sheep's clothing.

Fair warning to the OP, the Admin of this site considers Full Preterism to be heresy so I hope that is not what you are about to try to push.
By what authority does the admin dare to declare themselves the JUDGE as to what is heresy and what isn't? What are the admin's credentials?

It isn't fully finished because there is the second coming, resurrection and rapture right?

Yes, but that's not part of the 70 weeks prophecy. All six objectives in Dan. 9:24 were accomplished. When He returns He will judge the world.

I don't agree. None of those things have been accomplished yet. "and to make an end of sins" People sin every day! The end of sin only comes in the New Heaven and new Earth.
